I took the Dark Core personality test. "This makes you 4.11% Darker than the average person."

I also took the ADHD test and got 78% inattention and 44% hyperactivity-impulsitivity. Apparently my ADHD risk is high. I thought so because when I was at a psych ward 10 years ago a doctor gave me a ADHD test on paper and I just couldn't fill it so they went "ok it's obvious" but never diagnosed me.

Hmm I wonder how dark I would be, I don't feel like much of a dark person but you never know.

Edit* I took the Dark Core personality test. This makes you 0.89% Lighter than the average person.

Week 16 Challenge: Make some pancakes!

So here in the UK it is pancake day this Tuesday (Shrove Tuesday or Mardi Gras in the US). There a loads of different types of pancakes made all over the world, some sweet, some savoury using all type of different ingredients. So have a go at making some or just share with us what type of pancakes you enjoy or have tried before, maybe you will inspire somebody else. You can share pictures of your creations here or the food thread in the recovery section is also an ideal place.

Personally I am looking at having a pancake week! I will be making some banana pancakes shortly. Then tomorrow I will be making some traditional thin (crepe) pancakes, the best part is flipping them! Later on in the week, if I am able to, I want to try some Korean style savoury pancakes (jeon), like a vegatble one or a seafood. Never made one before so that will be my challenge.

Week 17 Challenge: Learn some Origami

This was one of my original ideas for a challenge and so I am finally pulling it out! Origami is something very simple to start, you just need some paper, most designs use a square sheet. It's a great way to create something with your hands and have something physical to show for your work.

I have never really been that neat and tidy, I was always terrible at wrapping present. So for me personally it's nice to try something where I have to try to be neat and concise.

I followed this youtube video and made a butterfly. it came aout a bit untidy. I might try a couple more during the week, maybe harder ones.

i really recommend star papers as its a knot and wrapping it around. anybody doing origami shoudnt stress about the rsult looking untidy, but more on the process of enjoying the folds to create a figure from a piece of paper.

to anyone doing this, good luck

I did this yoga video, it felt nice. I feel calmer now and much more aware of how tired I am.
Thanks, I've added that to my playlist. I haven't actually followed the routine yet but I did just sit and listen to her voice for 10 mins. Something for me to go to when I feel like I need it. I loved her dog too!

I'm going to try those stars a bit later, well one anyway :) I think have have a big problem with perfectionism, everything has to fit and be tidy and then stress about it when it isn't, something I need to work on

I made a star but I don't think it was the type you were talking about. I saw those I think, they used a strip of paper instead of a square

Anyway I now have a Star and a Butterfly

Week 18 Challenge: Use the difficulty

I have been reading a bit about learning "optimism" as a skill
There are different things you can try like writing down something good that happened to you today or something you are thankful for but I wanted to just focus on one. That one is being able to turn a negative into a positive.

So this week when you feel like you have found yourself in a negative situation think about what you can do to turn it into a positive. Also feel free to share experiences in the past where you have or could have turned a negative experience into a positive one. Also welcome are tips on how you think people could do this.

I am going to see what happens this week and will try to document later if I manage to do this but I will leave you for now with a little clip of Michael Caine

Yea haven't actually done a running challenge yet but it's something almost everybody can do, you just have to motivate yourself and get off your butt. Even if you just start off with a short jog around the corner and build up from there

this is super late but i semi regularly make my specialty loaded pancakes that contain:

quinoa flour
peanut butter powder
oatmeal
finely diced apple
blueberries
finely diced strawberries
whatever other fruit i have/can fit
chocolate chips
coconut sugar
1-2 eggs
cinnamon
nutmeg
pumpkin pie spice
honey
cocoa powder
ground flax seed
sometimes hemp/chia seeds
probably several other things im forgetting off the top of my head

theyre relatively low calorie for how dense they are, i dont cook em with butter and only use a little syrup. took several attempts to perfect the recipe though, the consistency with adding cooked oatmeal to the mix can be a bit of a gamble. but ive been told by a small crowd of people theyre perfect and ive dubbed them my "stoners delight" breakfast

also, yoga fucking rules, origami is cool and good and michael caine could read posts off of the infamous "confused indian men thinking facebook is porn" posting threads and it would sound like wisdom for the ages

Wow that is a whole lot of ingredients. I've never made loaded pancakes before, I will have to try. I've made banana pancakes before with just mashed banana and eggs although they are nicer with a bit of flour and milk

omg theyre so rewarding once youve tweaked the recipe to your liking. nothing beats a relatively low sugar high protein/fiber breakfast that tastes like dessert

Week 19 Challenge: Share some art

Are there any works of art you have seen that you are really fond of or that resonated with you? They could be famous or obsure or just a random picture you like or relate to. Maybe you would like to share some here and talk a little but about the piece.

This is one of Claude Monet's Water Lillies paintings that I was fortunate enough to see in real life. I never reall apreciated at like this before, at first glance it just looks kind of messy and bland. Somebody I was with told me just to sit and look at it for 5 minutes, not really looking for anything, just being there with the painting. It's such a large parting in real life and was a really immersive experience. I can't really explain it but I've never forgotten that time just sitting there. There wasn't anything inparticular that stood out it was just like being one with the painting
800px Claude Monet 044

This is a random photo I saw as the background for some music I was listening to on youtube. It just struck as being really beautiful. There is something about two friends holding hands and skipping along. The night is theirs and they have the world at their feet. The blur just makes it more animated and gives the picture life!

Well fuxk.
I think a lot these results point to how one percieves themselves rather than how they actually are. You may feel this way but it may not neccesarily be true. Also it can be a viscious cycle. You feel worthless and like you don't deserve friends so you close yourself off and become isolated and this in turn makes you less likeable and approachable to others making you feel more worthless.

Anyway thank you for taking the time to complete the test and contribute to the thread. I hope in some way you can find some support here and acceptance

I know you are trying to be kind, but it's acutally very true. I am severely depressed, and it's really hard for me to act "happy". I am not funny unless is self-deprecating, and I am not positive. I have anger issues, because anger is the only thing that gets me to do anything. Without it I wouldn't get out of bed ever. And that is not fun to be around, it's hard and it brings people down, and throughout my life I never managed to make friend bevause of it. Which also makes me super ackward, cause I just don't know how to socialize. So I think it is pretty accurate. I don't really know how to do better
