Hi everyone. I am new to this forum.
I read an old post on Reddit (apparently coming from an expert) stating that 50% of all inert gas exit bag attempts fail because of SI kicking in, making you pull the bag from the head after LOC. And that there is no way to predict if you are in that 50% group...
Sadly, I cannot find the article anymore, or I would've posted a link to it. Even though I'm not planning to CTB anytime soon, I recently ordered my Argon 5L cylinder, and I've got it set up in case I should need it one day. It sort of gave me a reassuring feeling. But you can imagine this "news" got me pretty spooked. Particularly, since it wasn't stated in which time span after the LOC this behavior could occur. God forbid if it were to happen after four minutes or so.
Does anyone know if this is true? And if so, is there any way to prevent this from happening? I read about tying your hands, but I will be needing both hands to snuggly lower the bag over my face.

. Welcome. While that does sound distressing, I find it hard to believe that this method would be in the pph and get the high rating that it does for reliability if that were true, don't you?
