Reincarnation? Nothing? Meeting your loved ones? I'd be fine with there being nothing myself. I've wished many times to forget everything that has happened to me.

nothing forever after

nobody has ever showed any evidence , observation of an afterlife reincarnation soul nothing

not even a single observation of any afterlife

no one has even given any details or the mechanism for how it could work. like where is the energy source for a soul and the transport of a soul

where r the 100 billion souls of humans that died

at which animal in evolution was a soul installed? at the ape? do chimpanzees have souls? at a rat? reptile. fish cell ? does an amoeba have a soul? no

humans are no different from animals

who would install a soul and for what reason since the brain can do the thinking and creates a self model and consciousness . there is zero evidence for any of this

nothing forever after
I feel apprehensive about the idea of there being nothing after, because it makes me feel like there wasn't any point at all to life, to suffering, to anything, but at the same time I don't know how I'd feel about consciousness continuing for eternity after we die

Honestly, I think we're forcibly reincarnated back into this hell over and over by a psychopathic creator. Of course I can't prove this and I want more than anything to be wrong, but it's a fear that I have. I think our universe was designed by an evil God.

we didn't exist for 13.8 billion years and none of us were bothered by that

any second there is consciousness there is a possibility of extreme suffering or pain a billion times worse than one can imagine

only in Non-existence forever is there a guarantee of never suffering extremely never any pain or suffering bad problems bad memories etc. so Eternal Non-existence is better than living life existence consciousness

to me permanent Non-existence forever is a septillion times better than life

yeah this nightmare called life is meaningless extreme torture

Why do you say there is no evidence of reincarnation? Because I have read many scientific papers about children which claim to be reincarnated, and I found them very convincing. For example, those papers show through statistical analysis that reincarnated children are likely to have birthmarks which strongly correspond to the way they died in their previous life and can confirmed by official medical records. Would you say findings like those are not evidence then?

What do you think happens after we die?
Exactly same thing that was happening before we were born. If birth is waking up without going to sleep then death is going to sleep and never waking up again.

I suppose that this opinion stems from the fact that papers available on the matter have nothing to do with "scientific" and everything to do with "urban legends", no matter how convincing they look. Besides, even if what they claim is true, it apparently doesn't happen en masse. None of us here remembers their past lives so i think it is safe to assume that, even if reincarnation exists, it is either very rare or default setting for it is total memory wipe and those described in aforementioned papers are just glitches in the system. And since "total memory wipe" seem to be prevalent solution then it will be no different to "nothing forever after" for most of us.

there is no evidence for any reincarnation

just more scams hoaxes lies

I'll never believe that

how many hoaxes and scams are there

humans you and i included can't even remember what they did any day last year or a few months ago or a few weeks ago. i can name any day of last year and neither you nor anyone can list what they did every minute and what they were thinking every minute of in sequence. people have no idea even what their concsiousness is . as if it's something so special it gets magically transferred to what another brain how and why and why has that never been detected by any instrument scientist MRI physicist etc?

this contradicts every science and law of physics

for example a soul and reincarnation contradict everything in 100 years of real research and experiments in neuroscience

as Eagleman showed every experience changes the brain a little and who u are

here is one guy who totally debunked some kid who said reincarnated (seemed iron clad to many) and everyone believed that hoax

I imagine it's just like being asleep, but you never wake up. Eternal oblivion. I really hope it's true that when I die that's it. I never want to come back.

I just want to sleep forever.

i think that the "reality" that we perceive as humans captures only a very small fragment of the spectrum of reality that truly exists

in a sense this is factual, even the things we have senses for such as light, sound, touch etc can only input a small slice of the true full spectrum of those stimuli. it's also true that there are many phenomena out there we don't have senses for- some we can pick up using technology/computers such as electromagnetic waves etc. but my belief is that 99% of reality is completely inaccessible to us, and probably always will be (as long as we are alive and human).

that is all to say that the nature of the human brain doesn't allow us to access the truth of reality, the purpose of our limited consciousness and awareness is not for us to be all-knowing beings, it's just enough that we can survive as material creatures on a physical earth. I think what's out there, what happens after we die and before we're born, falls outside of what our brains can ever perceive or language could ever describe. it's too abstract and incredible to even speculate about. i find that idea really magical

the reality we experience is really nothing more than a simulation run by the rudimentary computer of our brains based on limited inputs basically. this makes me feel less scared about being alive because it makes me feel like none of my worries truly matter and that my suffering is unnecessary. I'm sorry if this is a stupid and long-winded answer

All I believe in and hope for is non-existence, all I want is to be permanently free from this torturous, terrible and cruel existence I just always saw as a mistake, I just want this existence of torturous suffering to finally be all forgotten and no longer my problem and I'll just always prefer to not exist no matter what.

For me non-existence is just all that's desirable and positive, all I want is for non-existence to bring me the peace I search for from all future suffering in this existence so cruel and torturous that is just waiting to die anyway with no limit as to how much agony one can feel, to suffer in this existence truly is an abomination to me, no matter what this existence just never should had been imposed and it's so terrible how it was.

i personally believe nothing happens. Kind of like how before we're born we're in nothingness, i feel like once we enter death we'll just return to a place similar to that. our bodies just decompose and we cease to exist. i think its like going to sleep but eternally and with no dreams, since our brains would no longer have function
