ok, guys, Trashcan was the very first person i saw here and i am constantly watching for his posts. I feel sorry for him, he did a few unsuccessfull atempts and i don't want him to become crazy... Damn, i like this guy((

It's a pity we can't discuss bans! This is the main reason for this thread. We naturally feel concerned when we see a banned user as it is potentially due to a ctb.

How does this 'self-ban' thing work? A ban is a ban is a ban. People get 'banned' and then come back. I dont get it. Is a ban essentially a 'vanity ban' where they just want the attention they get with their name being crossed-out?

It doesnt make any sense to me.

I asked for a ban a couple weeks ago because I thought I was too distracted here and needed to focus on my upcoming ctb.

Then I reconsidered and realized I needed more support from like minded folks even though I have a couple offline (hugs to you, you know who you are) who understand me.

It certainly wasn't attention seeking.

Per the rules you can only ask for and be granted a voluntary ban and reinstatement ONCE so I don't think anyone is abusing this policy.

After I had a PM conversation with DeaduManuWalkingu I searched around for what he was about. Something just seemed off, but I didn't want to say anything until I knew more about him. Maybe he was just socially awkward and didn't understand how he would come off to me?

Saw the posts here about what he posted under his alts (MisterSadness and DayStravo) and it makes a lot more sense. I just don't know why he went about things the way he did.

It was after I talked about a tough time I had with my bf. He posted that he was a man in the US and tried to comfort me about having relationship troubles. It seemed to come out of nowhere, and seeing how he lied about being in the US and wanted a gf makes it all the weirder. I'm probably over analyzing or something but it just came off as weird to me.

Why privately introduce yourself as a man in the country I live in, in order to comfort me about my relationship issues? Why didn't he just reach out in the public post?

These things individually would be fine(ish), but all combined paint a strange picture.

I can't tell if I'm looking too into things are he was exhibiting strange behavior.

Reading this thread a user posted how he had revealed himself to be an Israeli, and had pretended to be from the US because he feared how he would be perceived by others. I wouldn't judge him on that alone, hiding who you are online is a good idea.

JadedSun, an lsraeli soldier who registered immediately after her partner was banned, has coincidentally logged on for the first time in several weeks today...

I wanted to mention @Metavoid as well. I guess Deafsn0w knows her too, since we both read her posts in early October. Poor girl suffered a lot from her own ignorant bf and roommates (as far as I remember, they called police when she was simply drunk and wanted to slice a few scars without ctb intentions. I don't consider their actions as "support"). She was very brave person and tried jumping once and probably did it one more last time.. If I am mistaken now, please forgive me, but she is absent since October and was going to ctb. Hope she is at peace now and her sufferings ended. A moment of silence for this brave soul...

They came to my door in the morning saying they got a suicide warning and wanted to come in. I said suicide isn't illegal here, I haven't committed a crime, and that they can't come into my house without a warrant. They forced themselves in as an intervention and proceeded to tell me to call helplines and seek help. Geeeeee. Thaaaaaanks. I told them if they didn't leave my house immediately I'd scream rape. They said they didn't want to leave in case I killed myself. I screamed rape and they got a freak and left.

Anywho, ever since then I broke up with the fella, made some new friends and been partying and enjoying myself. So far it's ok I guess. More to the point I look forward to weekends rather than fantasizing about killing myself.

Some fucking weirdos been messaging me on this thing while I was gone.

What he/she replied to me, as Daystavro, is that he was from Israel, but that since being from Israel can be viewed very negatively, he presented himself as being from the US.

But at this point I have no idea whether I got duped, or whether I maligned Daystavro unjustly, or what. I've given up on try to figure out WTF is going on with him/her/them.

That's very interesting. I've been wondering what became of her. Her partner was banned after she asked for money to help get to the US.

Like I said before, I am now awfully sorry for being mistaken, I was just worrying like hell and I am glad you are all right. Whatever you choose and whatever your reason for being here right now, I am sincerely glad to see you here again.
