The fundamental problem with this picture is that it implies that hard work and determination are the only prerequisites for success, while genetics/environmental influences/luck play an equally, if not more, important role. It is akin to telling a man who has gambled away all his possessions at the casino to keep playing because "you never know how close you are."

Might be not that unpopular here, but mostly unpopular anywhere else. Active non-voluntary euthanasia should be legal. Maybe even, not just legal but mandatory, at least to let a willing doctor perform it. It should be performed when the patient cannot physically communicate both consent and refusal, to prevent extreme suffering that cannot be prevented otherwise. The decision to do it should not depend on patient's or euthanasia performer's close ones like spouses, parents, friends, etc.

Hey! I like you as a friend here on SS, no b.s. ever. I am the same as I have always disliked "two-faced" folks. I have been burned so much as far as trusting someone's smile and getting my tail feathers burned off.

I definitely prefer honesty, rudeness that is probably the other extreme but I'd still take that over fake friendliness.

Like one colleague of mine who everyone calls a "bitch" and she also seems to not like me but she told me right away that she thinks everyone below her is not worth talking to for more than 2 minutes and I respect that.

Haha. XD I was a child so I thought she was scary. I didn't know English and I had no idea what she was doing inside Peru's caverns, but she seemed really tough, strong and almost evil. I wouldn't want to mess with her. ^^'

It's kinda odd. I love watching full walkthroughs of Tomb Raider games (I've watched 1-3, some 4 and 5, 6 completely), but every time when I try to play one I give up before I even finish the first level. It's one of those games I love to watch but not play for some reason. It's the same problem with the original Tomb Raiders and the modern reboots.

My fam couldn't afford gaming systems. Sometimes I played with buddies but I wasn't good either.
I got into music and graphic novels/comics. Read some of them til they almost fell apart. Fortunately CD's don't wear out. I kinda stand out as well. Sucks to not fit in.

I just remembered when my cousin's kid was about 6 years old and we (cousin, me, the kid) played Bloodborne but when I next met them and the kid was 7 tears old we suddenly weren't allowed to play Bloodborne anymore because apparently Bloodborne is scary for a 7 years old but not 6 (probably the mom or grandma had complained). As a person whose only underage contact is seeing cousin's kid once or twice a year (and even then we don't chat because the kid refuses to speak to me for some reason, I actually hate him, I've known him since he was a baby yet he has never spoken to me and his parents are okay with it) it was so stupid when we adults just sat there trying to come up with a game which is "acceptable" for children but entertaining to adults who'd rather be playing Bloodborne.

Speaking of other unpopular options, I'm so annoyed of those kids who don't say hi and their parents don't say or do anything about it. If they told me that their kid is really shy, then I'd understand it and be okay with it, but when the kid greets every other relative but me and the parents don't say or do anything about it, it just makes me feel discriminated against. It just teaches the kid that it's okay to hate or ignore people he has never even spoken to.

Another one. If the Fantasia movie centaur scene is about racism, it's really poorly made. I see a kid who idolizes her sisters but who is too young to participate herself, but she still wants to take part, so they let her help them. Kinda like how some younger siblings may say "If I can't play in your band, can I at least carry your guitar case?".

Cole Cassidy is a stupid name, I'm for the name change, but I'm against the name. I hate the name Cassidy just because Americans are incapable of not thinking Butch Cassidy.

I don't trust people who marry someone much younger or older than themself. Not that I trust anyone.

If art tools don't matter, why do tens of thousands of professional artists buy a 2500€ Cintiq, a 150€ Cintiq Hotkeypad, a 200€ ergotron, a 500€ electric table, a 500€ chair, a 1000€ Photoshop, 1000€ Zbrush. 1000€ 3DMax, 1000€ Maya. Yes, you can make good art with a mouse in MSPaint, but that's similar to saying "You can get from West Russia to East Russia by walking, no need to buy a car, or use a train or airplane". And if your boss tells you to make vector art or transparent art or art with layers or color correct art or increase the art's contrast or have a transparent background etc., you are pretty much fucked.
