It just needs some work done, you could turn it into something quite beautiful. My dad has money, I think it's just not wanting to admit failure as a man to move back and be dependant on him, you know? But then again, he has lost a child already and I would like to spare him the grief
We all have to take help sometimes my man. I used to be prideful in much the same way. Life will beat that out of you eventually if you're not careful.

It's not my business so forgive me if I speak out of turn, bit I'd not see it as failure at all. It's an even exchange, you each give what you have. Just because the currencies are different doesn't mean it's not even. But I do see what you mean too, maybe it feels like a backwards step. It doesn't have to be though, especially if you choose to do it for his sake too.

Very well put, I was kinda thinking the same. But I couldn't put it into the right words. I figured you'd nail it.

Fuuuck this Corona bullshit! We live in a world full of pussies. The entire world economy collapses without a single bullet being fired, who would've thought.

There's what like 3% mortality rate? Oh no! We're all gonna live! :ohhhh:

You should hear my neighbour's Dream Catcher when it's windy. The thing has bells attached to it... it ain't catchin' any dreams, only chasin' them away!

Feck this place is so noisy. I was spoilt in my own home, it was so quiet and away from everyone. It's not so bad here, not like an inner city, just not used to all the other people noises.

So I go into the liquor store today because I'm falling to pieces and need an escape. The lady at the counter tells me that my ex wife asked her to ask me for my telephone number.

She said that she was asking for it because she needs my signature for some tax check thing or something. I tell the lady at the counter "not a chance", I buy my booze and leave.

I'm under a restraining order and this bitch has already had me locked up on it twice now. Now she's asking for my number!? She's lost her fucking mind!!!

Just wanted to create a separate forum for some people that just want to get shit off there chest. Not looking for political agendas or ways to do things. Just a nice place where people can talk openly and freely about WTF is going on. To be be honest i created this thread for someone i've been talking to for the past couple hours. Hope it helps.
Well back to our regularly scheduled program. Please don't touch the displays
Thanks!

He has such a warm and happy smile. What was he like? I remember you wrote about his passing away, that's why I use the past tense "was".

Yes, he passed last year. He was a hard worker, but he knew how to spend what he had earned well; he was a life lover and he enjoyed gardening, hiking and good food; he was successful with woman and an unfaithful husband; he was a handyman and knew how to fix things; he loved the US and valued liberty and autonomy; he was an outspoken atheist and shit talking religion before it was en vogue and he was libertarian, which influenced me the most; most of all he was a vain man – he dressed better than everyone else and when it became clear that he would die, he tried to hang himself, because he didn't want to be dependant and weak.

One of the last things he told me – when his mind was already in decline – was that life without sex wasn't worth it for him and that that was why he wanted to die. Shortly after that, he tried taking walks on the kitchen table, thinking it was the floor, and fell down several times, which, I must admit, had some comedic value.

Yes. We all took something from him; if I ever get around to buying a house, I will start growing rose bushes in remembrance of him (he always had a lot of them).

After the funeral, our family got together and we talked so much shit and laughed so hard that at the end, everybody had tears in their eyes not from sadness, but from joy. If that is how your death affects people, you've done everything right.

I hope then that he passed at a ripe old age.

I have about 6 hours left to finish my neural networks project... Haven't done anything because I've been falling apart this whole month.

Let's see what I can pull up.

I definitely hear you on the falling apart bit. I think you can get the project done though, I believe in you!

I was going to take care of some important shit myself today. But then I realized it's memorial day ::face palm::

I need to workout a way to send what's left of my money to my kids when I leave. I've been thinking about buying crypto and emailing the key in a delayed email to my ex wife. Does anyone have any advice or experience in how I can do this? Would my idea be a good way to go about it?

Isn't crypto still a volatile asset? I'd suggest a bond portfolio, but that would probably be a lot of cost and effort (likely too much). Sorry, no good ideas here.

Bitcoin is the only thing making steady gains right now. But yea it can still be a bit volatile. Bonds aren't a half bad idea but not very practical in my situation.

Hmm safety deposit box maybe? Thanks for the help tho.

When you create an electrum wallet, you'll get a mnemonic / seed (a collection of multiple words).
If you know that then you "own" the wallet, and can re-create it on any computer, and access the money.
So you can just pass that mnemonic over, plus some instructions on what to do.
Obviously you would test the whole process yourself first....

I think most crypto is like that. Thank you brother.
