I actually got contacted by one recently wanting to apologize lol. I can't know your situation but I told them not to worry about it. I think people have the capacity to change, and there is no reason for anyone to blame themselves for another person's death when functionally it won't change the situation. In my case I am not killing myself because of them or anyone else, so I guess it depends on if you are killing yourself because of this person, and your desied outcome.
Either way no one "deserves to die" (at least imo). No matter if they are heroes of the people or heinous criminals.
