• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I feel like I've browsed too many posts on here as of late because I kind of forgot that feeling suicidal or having no motivation for anything isn't normal actually. You can post on other sites, and people will reply with a real zest for life in their speech mannerisms if that makes sense. The amount of times I had my eyes roll back whenever I had to read someone say to a depressed person that they just lack discipline and that life isn't easy for anyone so they should suck it up...

God talking to people who don't feel the same way or think in the same way is pretty difficult. They fundamentally at their core wholeheartedly believe that "life is a gift!!!" Meh. Sure, whatever.

Well, I guess it's the same for me in the sense that I can't understand how they think that way either so I can't really have too much ill feelings, but some of them really hate people like me for some reason. (I probably know the reason, who am I kidding? It's cause I'm depressing to be around and listen to, and I don't want to do anything in life which means others just see me as a leech in society I guess. Sigh.)

"life is a gift!!!"
I remember looking at it as an opportunity, but because my definition of life aligned relatively well with the basic outlines of opportunities.
1. Not everyone will ever get equal ones.
2. You get to both use and fully get rid of opportunities in whichever way you want to.
3. In a way it is originally a present. Being gifted an opportunity (the so called gift) to have a huge opportunity (life) to have plenty of other much smaller opportunities (opportunity to eat, to get a career, get whatever else and do whatever else).
Now the problem here is that truly not all gifts are wanted.
An unwanted gift is but an obligation, and obligation is a pretty good word for life.

I rolled my eyes even reading you say it. But also f them, only you can know your own state.
which means others just see me as a leech in society I guess.
However do remember that this is something that they are wrong about.
A good society is supposed to be inclusive of every individual. By the people, for the people.
If we are talking about rights, then you absolutely have the right to live just the same as those people you described do.
I know I wasn't of much help but I'm sending you a digital hug.

No, I enjoyed reading your words thank you. An unwanted gift sounds about right, and obligation is a very very fitting word. When you explain it in that way I can sort of understand that perspective now. Interesting stuff.
