I am new here and feel a little nervous

I just feel like I am on a dark area of the web or something and feel vulnerable. I don't know much about this place. I was wondering if you could tell me what the culture here is like so I can understand it more before I end up posting serious questions about method. I would like to imagine this is a place of friendly people who are seeing ahead of society and will be unfairly stigmatized but truly have integrity. But I fear it is like those sites it gets lumped in with, the crazy controversial sites seeing that most people here are obviously living yet choosing to come on here. I am curious.

I know you might say, just look around...but, i dunno. I think I am just trying to dip my toes into the water with this admittedly vague post. Any thoughts are appreciated. I just feel like I need to go soon. I am so scared of failure. But also hoping if I am smart I can avoid it. I am currently shopping on amazon for the Exit bag equipment.

EDIT: Also can someone tell me what SN is? I see it around the place. I think i know what N is -- Nembutal. But not sure about this one.

Thank you very much! I think just interacting with this first post is a step to feeling less nervous. I know it is silly to expect comfort and gentleness on the internet and I normally never would. But all my thoughts have been very internal. This is the first "reaching out" so to speak ever. So, i don't know why but it feels uneasy. Thank you again!

Oh my gosh thank you so so so much for that advice. That is really practical and helpful. I'll make sure to stick to me own process. And I didn't even know about the 15 messages thing which is good to know as I only just joined today. Thanks a bunch!

In my experience, people here are kind and understanding, and can relate and offer some advice on methods as well as what to do if you want to live too. It's also a good place to just vent and talk with people who are also suffering.
Being here has become a sort of safe haven for me, its the only place I feel like I can be my true self and really talk about what's going on in my head without being judged or locked up.
I was nervous at first too, and I'm glad I stuck around. I hope you find what you came here looking for! <3

In the Resources and Methods topics its really worthwhile spending some time to go through them. There is also a link to The Peaceful Pill book that answers a lot of questions as its the source material for a lot of the discussion here

No bullies here @Peaceful_Sam. You just got upset at people who disagreed with you and how you said some things when you made a fairly aggressive post out of the gate and declared them "bad". That's not fair nor reasonable to the people you have pigeonholed who all are actually caring and respectful in reality. Trying to make an even newer member afraid of such things is not cool either.
