If that! And you will be out. Btw, it's good that you are asking me questions. It's giving me the encouragement I need to stop putting off my own hanging, and just do it and find the peace I'm looking for.
Good luck to you, and also. Me. I guess

I used a stool with a backrest. That way, I was able to cause the stool to tip. If it doesn't tip, and SI kicks in, you're able to step back onto the stool (or chair). Causing the stool to tip committed me and made SI null and void.

The first time I tried to hang myself, I did struggle, which I think helped to cause my noose to slip. The second time, I fought hard to remain still and just let the noose strangle me. Both times, I think I lost consciousness within like 8 or 9 seconds.

What happened?

What happened?
The first time, I made a poorly tied noose, and it slipped, dropping me to the floor. When I came to a few minutes later, I was left with a sore neck. the second time, because I lived in an older apartment, when the stool tipped over, it made a banging sound on the floor. The people who lived in the apartment went outside and looked up into my apartment. Even though the lights were off, they could see my body. They broke down my door. I woke up in the hospital a few days later, slightly groggy, with my neck in a brace, and angry at my neighbours for interfering.

I tried it once. Did you struggle when you are mid air hanging? And how long it take you to lost consciousness. I hanged in midair for 4 sec and then I started to struggle. Also, I didn't faint ffs
you stopped it at 4 seconds?

Yes. I stood back on the bed. My bed was not far from. The window bar. And my window high. So I just need to hang it and kick the bed away. Too bad my leg reached back for it

Had amazing success today

Bought a 8mm x 10m PP rope for 6€ today at a hardware store
Practiced partial suspension for the first time today
Main objective was just reaching unconsciousness

Setup
[Warning: This isn't my final setup. I plan on going into the woods]

Reference images in Spoiler
  • Slipknot
  • Bottom of neck
  • Knot on left/right side
Held the end of the rope with the hands, so that I let go automatically after unonsciousness
Bent my upper body forward, leaning into the noose, above the bag of cloth for cushioning, to apply pressure
Had success with the knot position on left and right side of the neck (tested on the right side only once so far)

I believe the way I am positioned in this setup, creates a torque, that mainly covers the area where the carotids are located, depended on the knot position
(right/left)
as shown in the right image
That's probably why the knot position is important?

Because I can create unonsciousness pretty consistenly now

Experience
At first I didn't feel anything, thinking it isn't going to work.
But around 5 seconds after applying the pressure I immediately got a feeling that this must be it.
I didn't black out, but lost all of my control and sunk to the floor, my whole body started cramping and got consumed by a feeling of euphoria or something that is probably experienced during an orgasm.
I don't know which of these describe it better, because I never felt something so amazing before.
No surprise that erotic asphyxiation is a thing, I could get addicted to that feeling.
The longest I held onto the rope was close to a minute. (Was close to ruining my pants, because it felt so good:hihi:)
I couldn't keep up a consistent pressure, because of those cramps and this insane sensation that flooded me.
I didn't hold onto it for a minute, because I wanted to.
I couldn't control myself anymore, lost basically my senses/thoughts, only could observe.
It took a few seconds, to regain the control over my body.

The experience is pretty much as shown in the syncope video.

Afterword
Buying a rope is definitely worth it.
I was struggling for a week, using a belt, with unsatisfying results, not even getting remotely close to what I experienced today.(In hindsight this struggle helped me in the right direction.)
When I had success on attempts, the feeling of unconsciousness was achieved in around ~5seconds and I didn't feel any head thumping.
So whenever you get to the point of the head thumping or it takes too long (should take ~10max.),
try adjusting the setup.
  • Shift the knot
  • Try moving the noose further down the neck
  • Apply more pressure(Wasn't too uncomfortable for me, didn't use any padding. I'm kinda skinny, but work out regularly, not sure if that matters)

Hope it helps someone with a more peaceful exit
And I hope I covered the most important things

Thanks for sharing! I've used various hoody strings, but everything else was pretty much practiced the same way as you. Even with the strings I could get that same feeling that you're referring to but now I'm thinking I'll get rope too to make it a bit quicker. How was the pain? With strings little to no for me.

Pretty much none. After all the testing my neck got pretty sore though.
There is of course the slight discomfort from the noose pushing against your neck, but I wouldn't call that pain.

I definitely agree, after testing it felt as though I slept on my neck wrong or something. But that was after consecutive days of continuous testing, both at work and home. Pretty sure I'm doing some sort of damage but considering but my end goal, not too much lol.

Wouldn't the knot get tighten and slowly move back up when you lean forward? Also, when you lean forward.. Do you relax your whole body including your leg

I can't say whether or not it would for me when the other end is anchored and I'm unconscious but I don't touch the knot just slide down the wall and it does the job. I don't really lean my body forward, just my head. I try to relax, but naturally my body is slightly tense.

I think that's the point of placing it on the side.
That upward movement of the knot and rope more reliably compress the area where both the carotids are located.
You can do a little bit of testing yourself.
You don't need to go all out on testing this just do it via hand.
It's good to have a mirror in front of you, so that you can better understand what happens.
Just put the noose of the slipknot around your neck
Then feel and look at the area that gets compressed after pulling.
I am pretty sure putting the knot at the back doesn't properly compress both carotids, at least not for me.
Also, when you lean forward.. Do you relax your whole body including your leg
During the starting position my weight is on my feet and knees.
Then I let myself fall forward to lean into the noose.
I prevent myself falling all the way to the floor by holding the end of the rope.
During the real thing the end would be fixed to something. (In my case probably a tree, once I really attempt)
My feet lift up.
Now my weight is on my neck and knees.

So just lean and push your head downward as hard as you can?

Btw, should the rope be long? Because when you lean downward. How oblique your body should be.

That depends on the actual setup.
I think the most important part, is that after losing consciousness, your body shouldn't be able to move out of a position, where the pressure will be released.
That's why I think taking alcohol or meds to induce unconsciousness isn't the best idea.

Get into your setup and imagine how your body would fall into place after unconsciousness.
Maybe even roleplay it by relaxing your whole body. Make sure you don't have the anchor fixed at that point.
This way you should be able to figure the ideal setup out for yourself.
Because I can't tell you ideal length, nor the best angle.

How about the place where we put the knot on our neck. I checked a lot of information. But I just couldn't manage to find that artery properly

Asphyxiation??? Hahhahaha. No dude, it's painless. I fainted from this once. It says in my topic how you should test it.
The two times I tried to commit suicide by hanging myself, I could not, and had to relieve the choking, I was weak

I'm not encouraging you. But if I were you. I will
Chose to do full suspension, because after you started full suspend. You will not have 2nd Chance unless your rope broke.
Going to do full tonight. Hope it went well

It may seem weird at first, but look up videos on doing the rear naked choke in Brazilian Ju Jitsu. You're basically replicating that but on yourself with a rope and support. Oh and the opponent (rope) doesn't let go of you tap/go unconscious.

Had to try for a bit again.
Don't recommend inducing unconsciousness to often.
Was laughing like a little girl, while cramping on the floor just now, like a retard.
Starting to feel more and more out of it and losing concentration.
Not even joking. Kind of scary.
Not to mention the pain/soreness from the constant rubbing of the rope, caused by all the practice.

Anyway
I think the shoulder is a better reference then the ear.
Tightening the rope around the neck, reveals the arteries.
Hope these pictures are enough reference, because I really need to sleep now.

I used this rope to hang myself yesterday, got to say that it worked for some times. I tried 4 time of hanging. 3 out of 4 I can feel that feeling of blood rushing to my brain. But yesterday the 4th time, it gives my neck a nasty scar and I felt only pain, not the feeling that's going to pass out.

I'm continuing today's suicide at 1 am. Like usual. But this time I will use this rope and do full suspension

I'm not sure what you mean by "full suspension." Do you intend to fall from some precipice, like a tree or something several feet from the ground? If so, I think your only concern should be whether or not
the rope will sustain your weight. But if you are thinking of partial suspension (much less preparation, usually easier psychologically), I think you should try to find some more comfortable ligature.

I'm hanging myself tonight by using the window bar. It's high enough for my leg to Not reach the ground
