Discussion How do you imagine heaven?

After you will die. How would you like the heaven to look like? I want to be 8 years old again, going to a summer trips with my dad, eating ice cream, swimming in the pools, having no worries. Just me and my family, we could be so happy again.

As a massive place full of palaces and happy people full of smiles, no suffering and no horrible things happening. It's sad that something like this or even a slight piece of it is not possible in this world, its horrible.

hi! just as a heads up: obv there's no reasonable argument against wanting to continue existing after one is underground, but for me personally this sounds like extra suffering. I would honestly want my paradise to be completely and utterly empty :)

Getting to spend time with your loved ones in the afterlife is ideal. I imagine we become omnipresent, and in a way, are always connected to everyone we ever befriended or loved.

Permanent non existence where I won't even be aware of anything is perfection to me, there is so much beauty in the absence of absolutely everything, I don't want to experience anything at all as consciousness just causes suffering, I only want nothingness.

There's this really dark film called Lilya 4-Ever that shows Heaven as a safe space from all the shitty things in the world. The characters in Heaven just laugh together as they play basketball, even though their lives before getting there were horrific. So, I just imagine it as my own safe space, where I don't have to hurt and suffer anymore.

I don't believe that there is a heaven. Just not existing (= no pain and suffering) is enough for me - just like it was for the billions of years that I hadn't existed before I was born. And I honestly can't imagine a paradise / heaven that wouldn't get boring. Eternity is a really long time.
