  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

What are some of the things you guys are planning to do to before you CTB? Like how are you going to get your life in order before you leave?

I was already thinking of like withdrawing all the cash from my bank accounts or something, maybe packing up all my stuff too. Are there other things I can do to make it so my family has less to deal with?

In my CTB note, I've written out instructions for what to do with my belongings. I'm on disability and don't have much, but I want to help if I can.

I've listed out where to donate my books, clothing, other belongings, and shelf-stable food with contact info for each charity the items will be going to. One of my local friends get first pick over everything, though, if she wants anything to remember me by or would find something useful.

A will makes the most sense. I don't want my retirement or condo going to my parents (they've caused the most trauma and shouldn't be rewarded for that shit)… Without a Will, everything you own will go to your parents, if no living parents, I believe siblings are next in line. Even if you don't have a lot of material things you're worried about, you can easily draft a will online for free, just get it signed with a notary and a witness. You can explain what you want done with your body, whether or not you want a funeral, etc. My bank has a notary and it was super easy.

Might write a note asking for zero funeral/memorial, but that's about it. My financial situation isn't stable enough to benefit anyone, and I don't really have anyone I'd like to write a goodbye letter to this time around.
