Overthinking/Complicated----> Just get some things and give it a go ffs ... some will die for sure, no question about it. Some will survive ----> Just Do It
That is very true. Higher survival rate if you think about it, but it's no biggie to lose some if you CBS putting in too much effort. And even if you start small and easy, you'll learn as you go along because a lot of it is obvious.

Unfortunately I have become allergic to almost all foods I got tested for 30 and there was only 4-5 I wasn´t allergic to and then I got a lot of other none food related allergies like pollen allergy, allergic to cats, dogs, horses, dust mites etc. I never had all these allergies as a child only allergies to birk and grass but it still wasn´t as bad then as it is now.

It really sucks I can´t drink milk so I get no calcium and can´t drink protein shakes which made me go from 65kg to 58kg in bodyweight but so something I miss is a nice glass of cold milk when I am thirsty I used to low milk and also at Christmas my family always used to have a stone bowl full of wallnuts and hazel nuts and I loved cracking open those hazel nuts they were so tasty and remind me of Christmas but they are the food I am most allergic to now to give you an idea of the serity my milk allergy was measured at 0.8 (not sure what measurement) and for hazelnuts it´s 13 so I am very allergic to them, and birk was measured at 30 so this time of year is horrible despite spring used to be one of my favorite times of year it´s so beautiful and have the perfect temperature for me since I can´t stand the heat of summer but my severe pollen allergies makes my life extra miserable at this time of year.

Anyways enjoy your adventure with growing those potatoes.
I think the numbers to do with the allergies may be the RAST test for specific IgE? I had mine done just after my first anaphylaxis so it was sky high, but for the specific allergens cats were pretty high even though I'm fine with my cats. It was higher than lobster (what I had an allergic reaction against). So I have no idea whether high levels of IgE correlate to a more severe disease? I test blood results for a living so I should probably know oops!
I've found the tree pollen was pretty bad this year, hows it been where you are?

The tree pollen hasn´t been that bad yet but they are also just starting to bloom, a few years ago it was so bad I could literally taste blood in my throat and had to go home from school, but over the counter allergy pills like Benadryl works incredibly well they are just very expensive if I have to use one each day at the periods where the pollen is very bad because then I will have to take a pill a day otherwise I will have to blow my nose all the time, eyes are so itchy I want to scratch them out of my head and my throat problem gets even worse (it´s my worst physical problem) so my "life" gets even worse this beautiful time of the year which is pretty tragic. I of course also get jealous and I guess depressed by seeing everyone out with their friends living life to its fullest while I have no friends.

Ouch, that sounds so painful. I hate it when I get that itchy feeling on the roof of my mouth. It's an itch you can't scratch and it's so frustrating.
My hay fever is pretty mild compared to when I was younger, when it was completely debilitating. I can somewhat understand how you must feel. And I wouldn't worry about having no friends, I don't either. Just cats and my garden :smiling:

But I used to be so extrovert as a child I had so many friends and had playdates almost every single day after school, even in my teenage years I had a lot of friends I miss having friends and it´s mainly my throat problem that caused me to isolate myself because I knew if I would hang out with my friends we would have to eat at some point and then they would have to wait over half an hour for me to finish eating to give you an example it takes me 20 minutes to eat a Mc Donalds Cheeseburger so that has ruined my life and one of the main reasons I wanna ctb.

Damn, that's rough. How long have you been suffering with the throat issues? I certainly wouldn't mind waiting for you to finish. I have a friend with multiple sclerosis (I know I said I didn't have any, all my old friends live 200 miles away). Sometimes her MS flares up and she has to walk much slower than everyone else, or can't walk at all. It's never been a problem. Maybe there are people out there who are understanding of each other's needs.

I guess I have had that problem all my life but as a child I just thought I ate slow and because I was a child I of course didn´t need to eat as many calories to maintain my body weight and to fill full the only problem I really had I remember was when I was eating dinner at friend´s houses doing sleepovers I would take a smaller portion so they wouldn´t have to wait as long because to make matters worse back then many of my friend´s families had that rule that no one leaves the table until everyone is done eating so that is not fun for a person like me so I would take smaller portions.

And I don´t blame my previous friends at all I blame my throat problem for to be fair no one wants to wait so long for anything to finish eating even myself would be annoyed a few years back when me and some friends/aquintances would play CS GO but had to wait only 10 minutes for one person to finish his meal so I get how annoying it must be to wait 20-30 minutes for me to finish, and back then when we gamed I would sometimes just say they could play a match because then I would be ready after and sometimes they would even have to wait 10+ minutes. It usually takes me 45-60 minutes to eat a meal but I have a 45 minute rule where I in most cases will stop eating and throw out my food if I am not done eating because I hate eating and get angry that I have to sit for 45 minutes just to eat to keep me alive and especially as a suicidal person it´s just illogical that I keep fueling my body with food even though I wanna die. There are however rare occurances where I will sit for an hour to eat like if I have steak with sides I love the taste and texture of steak but it takes me 45 minutes alone just to eat a 250g steak.

I should probably also mention that in my life I have been choking on food 5-7 times where my dad saved my life every time by giving me the heimlich maneure so if he hadn´t done that I would have been dead and I remember when it happened as a teenager I would be so angry after because of my defect body (throat) sometimes I have been so angry that I would hold a knife to my throat and just wanting to destroy it because it have caused and causes me so much suffering.

The instant hedge business idea? I don't think it's a terrible idea. However, I think starting any sort of business right now is probably not going to go well.

Give it some time for the economy to recovery. Making your lawn look nice is a luxury expense.

Where I live at least half my neighbourhood is doing lawn work during lockdown lol. Helps that garden centres/nurserys were labeled as essential services. Still I agree, not the economic time for a new business

Thanks for the kind feedback guys. Yeah it's not the right time for a business. This idea is just my bipolar acting up. Sorry for the inconvenience. :hihi:

I have a few potted plants chilling. I don't have enough room for a garden anymore, but definitely plan on it when I move. I love growing flowers, especially lupins. So pretty!

When I used to live with my Mum we would grow a plethora of veggies and flowers. She had a green thumb and it was very therapeutic for both of us to be out there in the backyard.

Fast forward to adulthood and I can't keep the single potted plant on my shelf alive ;-;

I've just found this as I've been taking a break but I love to garden! I'm currently playing with hydroponic pineapples. I've got some from last summer already transferred into soil that seem to be growing healthily. My current ones are working on the root basket before I transfer to dirt. It take 2-3 years to actually get a pineapple so if I'm around next summer hopefully I'll have a homegrown pineapple. Also did hydroponic tulips this year, and have started some lettuce.
My lime tree is starting to bud, the orange tree has oranges, and my jasmine has bloomed and smells amazing. I can't wait for my pride and joy -my bleeding hearts- to open up in a few weeks. I was worried it had died but I'm seeing new leaves on it daily.

I want to get into succulents but I'm running out of space.

I wish I had a garden to tend. I used to have lots of indoor plants like cactus and venus fly traps. There was some enjoyment taking care of them and having them around, even found myself talking to them.

@lmroch , Highly inappropriate :shy: That's plant molestation! lol . Plants can feel .. I can see them reacting ..

I doubt my neighbors would appreciate it. Or that the cops would let me off the hook if I told them it's Naked Gardening Day :pfff:
:pfff: "They were suicidal , but it's really the naked gardening that made us finally hospitalize them"

Do that again

I am considering going the my old building and bringing back few plants I saved aside , here to the homeless flat :blarg: This could really make me feel happy . Continuity . Prob it's big and heavy -- 3mi (5km) away . Afraid bag on bike won't do (hard to cycle / tear ) . Don't know if can carry by hand / bus .

@Brick In The Wall , this is a really great thread . I'm so glad you started it

I have a little cactus garden in the kitchen. They are the only plants I brought from my old home when I was forced to move. Very easy to care for. I'd love a Venus fly trap. I had a pitcher plant once that would eat any flies in the house.

My arum has taken a beating in the rain. Had to prop it up with a cane and ties. Can't kill the mint though. Mint is tough as nuts.

Aha ! I have a cart / hand truck / two wheeler / dolly (how the f is it called?) . It would be a bit deranged to carry couple of plants across 5km . Speaking of crockery , that pretty much describes all the pavements here. I will def be stopped by the police lol. This is like plant-based-ISIS. I'll be sacrificing myself in such suicide mission. I love to garden. It's my one major hobby. I grow loads of vegetables and flowers from seed, I also have an indoor grow room where I bring plants on because my climate is quite cold. It's a wonderful distraction.

I now have two varieties of wild mint and I know where there is a third. Mint is a fantastic plant, so many variants and afaik all from one original marginal aquatic species.
