I'm not even religious but everytime i think of CTB i'm afraid that hell exist even though my life is partly hell already. Like my brain somehow goes if you keep on going you're not going to hell, even though i don't even have a religion which means probably it doesn't matter anyway. But like yeah maybe because i'm already quite ready for it, my brain give out the last line of defense. But living just seems impossibly hard due to my circumstances. I hope if i succeed there will be no afterlife and just eternal peace.

It scares me too sometimes, I think its just been so embedded as an almost pseudo-fact especially in the west that a part of you still worries its true.
I prefer to stay agnostic since theres no way to truly know but if there is truly an all loving god then theyd understand. If not then going to a free hell is better than a gated ans sheltered heaven, at least thats how I see it

It scares me rarely. I am an atheist and I think it's very unlikely that there is any afterlife especially hell where somebody would be tortured for eternity. There isn't any proof for that and also it just sounds like something made up

ive gotten to the point is see ending it as a way out, a way to peace. no stress no threats no screaming in my head no panic attacks no 3am puddles of sweat and feeling sick.
sure i dont wanna die but it looks like a very nice logical option for me... im scared a little but what choice do i have left... none. im stuck waiting
i think 99% of people will turn religious before death as the brain searches for anything something to do to save you and if the only last thing it can do to help is pray it will do that.

No. And I have a simple, yet powerful argument.

There is no consciousness portability. If there is reincarnation, consciousness will be wiped out.

Hell and heaven are logistically impractical. Why would any intelligence simply "store souls" to reward them or punish them for eternity?

It's all here and now baby. The digits that make up your matter code will simply be recombined into other code strings to create other matter. Brain included. Once the brain is destroyed, so is your conscious self.

We are consciousness-injected Lego pieces.

I used to be afraid of reincarnation and afraid of my soul being eternal. Of being stuck with myself forever whether on Earth or somewhere else. I worried that if I died it would be like this again, being born as an animal or to a new family and becoming conscious of my own existence over and over. The concept of the underworld is cross-cultural and ancient but it doesn't bother me, it's just kinda gloomy. But if any of that were true it'd happen regardless of how I die so I stopped worrying. I grew up very atheist and resistant to organized religion including the idea of karma as a moral agent in a world as awful as this, reincarnation isn't exclusive to the dharmic tradition. But these were interesting thoughts to humor as I think some form of afterlife or continuation only proves a pessimistic outlook and I think there's a huge lack of bleak spirituality because its purpose in daily life for most people is as a bandaid/deterrent/escape. I don't find heaven or paradises very appealing (or realistic) and I'm not impressed with the threat of eternal torture. Annihilation of the soul sounds nice some days and bad other days, I feel bad about wanting it and avoiding it.

I am religious and honestly it's the main reason why I am scared to CTB. I suffered enough here and I don't want to continue in afterlife. I feel like either way I am doomed. Wish I wasn't born at all

Yeah for me reincarnation is just a slightly better version than eternal torture. The idea that you can be reincarnated as a pig or a deer, only to be butchered or eaten by a predator and then be reborn again until God knows when is not very peaceful is it. The 2 most popular version of afterlife is just straight up sadistic

I'm not worried. Death is a peace of itself. No matter what happens next. Could be nothing (fine and simple) could be reincarnation (*could* be good), could be heaven of a type (Good or boring?), and hell (Satan or whatever and that new torture experience, already tortured now anyway) so whatever it is between nothing to heaven to hell to whatever else is okay with me! Just a weird thought of mine.

The best way to understand what happens after death isn't with religion, or some profound understanding, its with the sky above you and everything beyond - space. Theres billions of trillions of stars out there, space so large it might as well be infinite, and beyond the unimaginable amount of stars and planets, theres the dark emptiness… which is what most of it is. Theres an unfathomable amount of things beyond earth, so to think theres some afterlife that isn't the "eternal darkness" type, which will be like sleeping without having dreams and/or waking up is just silly imo. Theres no god or heaven or hell, were not that important in the big picture of the universe, were not even 0.00000000001% of importance, so no, nothings there.

To be honest, there are days where I think that pure emptiness becoming a tree in Dante's Inferno no longer scare me. Those are the days I dread to be honest.
I'm not particularly religious, but CTB for me is the point where even flames, dragons, becoming a worm, or simply stopping existing are preferable to continued existence.

I don't believe in an afterlife. The closest my worries get to anything near is the potential reanimation of my neurological structure to whatever end one might do that. It's mostly a fear of physical pain, subsequent injuries, and communal harm that prevents me.

The only thing I'm afraid of is the unknown and unimaginable. Seeing as I don't believe in an afterlife/reincarnation, I'm only left to imagine what it's like to see, feel and hear nothing in death.
