Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

It baffles me that politicians don't fear old age. It terrifies me.Hi sweet @jodes2
I think, but like everybody, without knowing a thing about this debate in this country, that there is a long way to go before things are seriously considered by governments.
We are in an era where dialogue is only emotional and subjective.
A decision-maker thinks about his morals, his situation or necessarily he does not have suicidal ideas and therefore, because for everyone "death is sad", it is a debate that is difficult to envisage.
You only have to read what is said about Switzerland, when certain media denounce Switzerland as being responsible for slippages or abuses with suicide, because people in their twenties who are not condemned to death by an illness have been allowed to commit suicide legally.
Who defines what is a slip? The journalist who has his own opinion, his own morals and his own fear of death ? (because I think that the refusal to debate actually reflects an existential fear of death which has become far too present because of our sense of immortality, because there are not as many wars, thanks to medicine, because we don't talk about that anymore)
In short, who is slipping, the journalist? The patient?
But if a patient wants to, then it's not a slip, is it?
In short, we know the songs and the emotional arguments reflecting the fear that people have of death
The day the discussion is rational, focused on the subject and on human rights, perhaps things will move forward then. For the moment, it doesn't even seem worthwhile
I wish you a good evening
Love ❤
I really hope it changes. Surely it can't last forever. I hope they also decriminalise drugs but that could be a while too. We're so fucking backwards it's disgustingI cannot imagine it ever being legal here. The UK is a very pro life country after all, where suicide is so stigmatised, they won't even allow it for those experiencing the most severe suffering and terminal illness unlike some other countries. I hate this so much. The people who want to deny others the option of a peaceful exit are disturbing and insane. There is no benefit to endless pain and trying to force people to endure a life that they never asked for. I wouldn't be surprised if the UK made suicide illegal.
Dam. I didn't know that. That fucking sucks. Shit. Thanks for the informative answerThere's no political party in the UK that advocates for legalized assisted suicide as far as I'm aware.
Everyone now and then you'll hear on the news about a husband who helped their ill wife to die for example and then the debate about assisted suicide is is reignited again for a short time but then gets forgotten about again quickly.
What sequence of events do you envisage for that to be the case? I can't imagine it changing policy here, our politicians are stubborn as fuckPeople everywhere will be changing their tune if the world starts buckling under 15 million people or whatever.
I don't think that's too controversial and a few western countries have already enacted it. It's just a guess, and I don't intend on lasting to find out. What sequence of events do you envisage for that to be the case? I can't imagine it changing policy here, our politicians are stubborn as fuck
