I think many people do feel desperately sorry for your situation but I suppose none of us know what it's like to be another person. The empathy can only go so far.

I'd wish that there were more empathetic people around you certainly- that would do more to ease you from your pain.

I guess I'm curious. No need to share if you don't want to but is this 'girl' you sometimes mention a previous girlfiend, a friend or even yourself as you were? I truly am so sorry for what you go through.
