With SN and I was determined, if I didn't know they would do an autopsy on me afterwards, it would be mandatory in case of CTB. I'm terrified of autopsies. I can't stop looking for people who have been sent to the morgue still alive when they were thought to be dead. And I'm terrified of failing with the SN or being left dead by mistake. Being sent to the autopsy alive (presumably dead) and dismembered while I feel the pain. It would be weird, but who knows. I would still die in the autopsy. It terrifies me. There are several cases that wake up in the morgue. If I knew that SN would leave me 100% dead before the autopsy, I would take it, but I don't know anymore. There are few cases, but especially in my country, Spain, there are stories of people sent to the morgue for false deaths and resuscitated there just before the autopsy. You can look them up online. Doctors are stupid, even when it comes to determining whether you're dead or not. It tears me apart. Who knows how many people declared dead had autopsies performed while they were still alive?

No you'll be okay don't worry, these cases are extremely rare, medical examiners are pretty adept to telling if someone is still alive or not. Just because some cases out there exists does not mean it's anywhere close to the norm. Just anxiety trying to scare you, you're okay I promise.

plus, dying by my own hand just fits my personality better -- i like being in control; i can't stand the thought of losing my autonomy. it's why i have a healthy fear of failing my ctb attempt and getting institutionalized... all the more incentive to give it everything i've got! :)

I've seen family members go through hell getting old and suffering through arthritis, heart problems, neurological problems... Fuck all of that. I'm gonna CTB and dodge all that shit

why do you assume that you will probably fail???

I know it can be gross, but gore sites provide visual research on how successful it can be. Most are unconscious in a few seconds, 5-15 seconds. That was my opinion anyway

I also read some medical studies that looked at many video hangings - and they came to a similar conclusion. I read the report online here. The exception is when someone has used a blanket or cloth and they end up not cutting the arteries to the brain, but end up strangling themselves, which was horrible to watch

I am pretty convinced that hanging is the way to go - if you place the proper size rope in the right place.

FSH imho is the most fool-proof method of all

I've attempted partial with no success and I'm not willing to buy SN, so FSH is probably the only valid option for me.

I've tried it once but the rope started to tighten around my jaw, not my neck. I was able to save myself because I didn't "kick the bucket".
