No they are not around dad just came and then left so I'm alone now
Oh I see, do you plan to do any sort of hyperventilation or breathing before? I saw something about a wim hof breathing method that makes it easier to not try and breathe when hanging but idk

I don't know I feel like I will loose consciousness pretty quick and will not want to breathe. I once hyperventilated when i cried recently and i felt like fainting so that can help.

I wish I had that confidence about losing consciousness quickly, I'm worried I won't lose it at all or very slowly, it makes me so jealous knowing people younger than me are braver than me so it's easier for them

I tried pulling with rod and at first there was some discomfort but then after enough force my head started feeling light i felt tired and vision got dark. Kinda weird to be jealous of people that wanna die, isn't it? I will try to do the thing with slowly going down while the rope is tied to the anchor.

Do you just put the rope high above the Adam's apple and knot at back of neck? I always feel pain before I feel light, not once have I gotten vision going dark. If I was fast enough and skilled enough I would get up and when feeling light jump into the noose hoping the pre light headedness would help but that's not possible. I mean I want to die too and have for years. Being jealous of people who aren't scared of pain and seem to have less si than me so they do it with ease while I fight myself to step off the chair seems normal in this situation. Like the girl mentioned in this thread in the beginning, I feel terrible for her situation but she stepped off the stool seemingly easy and was out fairly quickly

Yeah I just put it above Adam's apple the knot at back of neck and then pull and that just happens.

How high up the neck? Right below the jaw? A bit of space? Sorry If it's annoying I just want to get the same result

It was as high up the neck as possible. I tried again and actually I could even breath while my vision started going dark felt like i gonna faint and hands started tingling

Does the rope go directly around your neck like straight across or go up from the front to the back? I'm trying to figure out how you're able to feel faint so easily

Yeah I looked down and tightened the knot around my neck as much as i could, while holding it with my right hand as high as possible on the neck.

I wrote everything about my setup in the post, it's 12mm nylon rope
Is there a reason you picked 12mm? I'm thinking that might be why I'm struggling, if it is I might need to change my rope. I thought if the rope is thicker it may take longer to pass out but I guess it may be the other way

I picked it because it was recommended by some guide, don't really have any other rope and didn't try anything other than this one. It was also hard to buy it and I was anxious of what they could ask about purpose of the rope I created a long story on why I need it but thankfully they didn't even ask me anything just cut the 10m of that rope I gave the money placed it inside my bag and went home.
You said that you have a 12mm rope already?

Oh I see, I just ordered one of each delivered to my door, going to test with each one more time and then pick which I'll use, maybe the 12 would actually make me feel light headed compared to the 10

I would wish to order to my door but my parents apartment is right on the same floor of the building so I had to go there by myself put it inside bag and return home. Also came up with something to say if I meet them like I was walking with bag to store my headphones in it.

Huh, i can't picture your living situation but it sounds like you live separate so I would assume it wouldn't be hard to hide? I just tried again pulling hard with the 10 and 12 and the 12 made my lips tingle and my hearing get a bit in an out so I am having to redo my whole setup to the 12 hoping that that result means I'll pass out. Maybe also the numbing crème helped me not cough or the thickness Idk. Didn't try it with the pillowcase due to the numbing cream still being on with saran wrap, but I'm hoping when I add the pillowcase, it won't change much. Due to my failed attempts if I fail again, I really would rather not have to deal with the rope burn

Yes I live separate but on the same floor of the same building. The only problem was getting home with the rope when I was already inside I just placed it inside a storage cabinet and they don't know about it for a long time. Oh the 12mm rope is kinda giving hope that it will work.

If they live separate and your dad came to check on sand bags are you worried they can just come in during your attempt?
Just redid all of the knots, hope it will stay? A bit worried about my anchor but fingers crossed already attempted a few times and it stayed but worried those attempts could have weakened it. Barely enough room to get it on comfortably but want to make sure it doesn't stretch and have me hit the floor. Did you lubricate your rope? The 12 mm one I have is a lot sturdier than the 10, the noose doesn't move as smoothly

No, I'm not worried, because I will do it at night when they sleep. You should try simulating convulsions again while holding on the rope with full body weight to test again. I didn't lubricate the rope it slides kinda fine, you can lubricate it if you want. I have some worry that lubrication could soften it and it becoming more prone to snapping your should test it somehow i don't know. Also the free end of the noose is kinda short you might want to make it longer just in case.

I tested pulling down with me weight/strength and shaking. Some metallic noises from where it's hanging but no budging or anything. Does the end really need to be longer? How much free space are you leaving? Trying to understand the why because if so I need to undo and redo every knot to adjust the length. I added the overhand double knot on the end like you suggested so I hope if anything it holds

Yeah it's just a safety measure to leave some length of rope like 15-20 cm on the free end, I think it's preferable not to rush things but to carefully make everything safe so nothing fails and it just goes smoothly as planned. Also I'm a bit worried of the bowline knot free end pointing down like that, I read that the way it points change how the knot behaves and its more prone to snapping. Maybe you should do something like this? And then pass the free end through the ventilation vent so it points up and then down.

Okay I made it 20 cm of free after the double overhead knot, not too sure how to adjust the bowline from the video but I think I made it point down?
I felt eerily calm and good knowing I figured it out and would be done soon, weird deciding when it all ends but a weird sense of peace and calm as well. I didn't think the rope could snap so now I'm worried. The rope says 310 lbs so I expected it to be more than enough

Yeah kinda? I'm just not an expert in knots i saw somewhere that it need to point inside the loop but if there is double overhand stopper it should be just fine?
Yeah I think with double overhand stopper you shouldn't worry about it coming undone or snapping it will be ok. What is the rope's breaking strength? It should be something like 10 times more than your own weight.

The double overhand is on the side without the noose and the other side doesn't have one I only did it on one side. This is what I get when I try and point it down, the best I can do, hoping it will be fine. I'm just really hoping it holds since there weren't other rope options I could get. I was planning to go now or in the next hour but my mom sent me a movie she called interesting and I feel like I should watch it since I haven't spoken to her since the 12th and that would be the least I can do is watch and respond but she'll feel bad no matter what when she finds out.

No don't worry double overhand stopper on the noose side is not needed at all it will not serve any purpose. Stoppers are only needed on free ends of the noose and bowline knot they will prevent the rope from slipping and the knots coming undone or loosening. Hmm but the working load limit seems very low, it should be 10 times your weight at least.

If you are talking about some date planned then I don't have one. I just wait for the sand to become dry so i fill bags with that sand put it on the pull up bar so that it stands still and not tilts even if my body convulses and then I will do it on first night that I can.

Oh okay, sounds soon if your dad is coming and checking the sand bag though. I hope the rope will hold same with the anchor. I was more worried about the anchor than the rope. I never heard that it needs to be 10 times and would have no clue where to find it so I hope it works. I watched so many videos and some people use scarves that look very thin, sari's, very thin rope so I hope it's good.

For critical life-support applications they use ropes that have working load limit 10 times more than person weight so that it doesn't snap 100%, because otherwise that person will fall and damage himself or die. People doing it with scarves may be lucky so if we want to remove any chance of failure we should make the setup more solid than that, to not rely on luck. To be honest my rope is a fucking overkill, 3300 kg breaking strength rope with EN1891 type A certificate which means that it was tested for life-safety situations and it knots well and will not break 100%.
