Why is it so hard to kill yourself?

I want my life to end but between all the methods and my lack of resources, why is it so hard? I'm trying partial suspension but its not working. it's getting to the point where I probably have to find a building to jump off of and I just am afraid of heights and I don't want that anxiety.

I just wish I could get a gun but I don't have any money

I really understand as I always suffer so much from being trapped in this cruel, futile existence without the option to just cease existing in an guaranteed way and never exist ever again, I see so much cruelty in how it's so difficult to be free from this existence, I always wish I could just choose to never exist ever again, I just want a death like falling into an eternal dreamless sleep with no more pain and no more suffering. I've been searching detergent and hydrogen sulfide with ZERO luck. I desire a peaceful ending. Idk why that's so hard. I'm not already exhausted. .

I've been looking for painless methods too but like you said there's pretty much none that are accessible. If you do find one let me know.
