I'd say you'd have to do it during the night and have to just try to swim to the middle of it. Not the easiest or most pleasant thing to do, I'll admit

You're right! Night is the time to go. My plan is to use an inflatable boat and some dumbbells inside my backpack tied around my body with rope

I don´t recommend this way tbh. But the Netherlands has more than rnough bodies of water or just rivers that end up in the sea. I would personally pick something with a current so my survivors instinct would be useless anyway.
I hope you feel better soon though cause drowning ain´t it.
