• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Just seems performative to me, the comments, the reactions, all of it. On all these types of motivational videos

There are so many professed psychologists/therapists/life coaches on YouTube... they appear to come in waves and then disappear suddenly. Quite many of them start doing solo stuff, then do team-ups with other similar people for a bit... and it all feels like they are doing it for the likes and for money. I mean, doing your job for money is fine... IF you do your job well... but so many of these are faux psychologists when you dig into their credentials. Several have been caught up in scandals and then go into hiding too.

There was one woman who was a high-and-mighty "do as I say or you are a loser" kind of woman... and then she got outed as having affairs with married men and cursing people out and making threats to ruin people online... and she denied it a bit at first, then she up and disappeared completely.

There's a guy who used to pop up in my feed quite a bit... more and more... then he started having the team-ups, including a few with that woman who got outed for scandal... and then that guy seems to have disappeared now too.

All those people just feel scammy... often they have some "pay me $1000 and I'll fix your life for you" service they are peddling too... but, you start thinking... IF they are actual psychologists, they would be raking in money far easier by just taking regular patients because there is an abundance of people who need therapy and not enough qualified therapists to go around... so why are these "psychologists" spending all their time on Youtube and Patreon scamming people for likes and fame?

It's weird as fuck. Unless they are entertaining in a laughable way, I just tell Youtube to stop suggesting me those people now. Not worth the time it takes to watch most of them even for a few minutes.
