What is the point of life? Religiously speaking...

I have been indoctrinated into believing that if I commit suicide, I'll go to hell or reincarnate into a bad life.
Which makes me question... if God or the Gods exist, why exactly did they create us? I genuinely don't understand why we SHOULD live at all. Why is suicide deemed so bad? I don't get it.... it's my life right? Please chip in your thoughts...

Most religious people were raised (brainwashed) to believe in God. Their critical thinking skills are compromised. I was never raised religious and I can tell you there is definitely no God and no afterlife. It's so obvious. Just look at all the pointless suffering and injustice in the world. If God existed he could easily put a stop to it. You have nothing to worry about.

To be fair, you can't roll out the posability that there is. Maybe he exists, and is responsable for all the evil? Because If he created us, and considering how f*ed-up this planet has become, It make me think that these traits had to come from somewhere in the first place.

In regards to this I also remebered this quote: "If god is all good, he can't be allmighty. And if he is allmighty, he can't be all good".

True, just look at how horrible the Muslim God is. Or how the Mayans sacrificed their own people. On the slight chance God exists, he's definitely a bastard.

i really don't think religion has a great answer for that, even if there is a God (which i believe there is), religion is human-made and we can only speculate so far
some religions say life's a test of faith, some say it's to improve ourselves, we don't really know
why God created us? it's anyone's guess, maybe he was bored or something
why God made us flawed if He is perfect? who knows, maybe watching perfect people exist is not that entertaining
why make us suffer to prove something to him if he's the embodiment of Good? no idea really
