Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Both physically, and metaphorically?

Triggering myself for my latest overdose, thus have started to watch videos on YouTube.

This statistic really struck a cord with me.

Thoughts?

This is typically a nonsense statistic. What if someone says "illness is number one cause of death"? (without subdivision between cancer, heart disease, etc). Suicide would probably become number 6 or so if you distinguish firearm, poison, jumping etc.

It doesn't surprise me. The average life expectancy for men in England and Wales is 78.6 years. Most of us ARE living longer. Chances probably are that deaths under 50 would be more due to suicide than natural causes or accidents.

I always (selfishly) wonder how far behind the women are in this statistic. I fit those parameters but I'm female. Hoping I will go before I'm 50 to even out the score... 😉

90% of people die in a bed. Hence, a bed is the most dangerous place on earth

For me, this image shows the word "suicide" shining like a silver lining on the cloudy background...

It makes sense, normally men don´t die by diseases when the are younger than 50. If there is no war, you have to killy yourself if you want to die younger than 50.

Of course it's not surprising that people would choose to exit, like why would anyone want to be tortured by old age. Suicide is incredibly appealing when all that we are destined for is to suffer more and more, and I envy those who managed to go through with it. But it's certainly annoying how there is a day dedicated towards suicide prevention. Suicide prevention is cruelty and is just prolonging torture, there could never be anything wrong with choosing to be free from a life that we never even asked for.
