  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

What sex do you identify as? I identify as a man and have never had thoughts of being otherwise.
Also, do you think that your identity has somehow affected your feelings towards suicide? How?

Like I said, I identify as a man and have never had issues with that, I don't want to offend anyone, just trying to learn about the community. That being said, being a man and filling the traditional role can be tough and I feel like my suicidal thoughts have to do with not feeling like I'm there; with a view on life that I feel is under attack...

I'm a cis man, but i don't like the "man look", i would love to look more androgenous or even more feminine (not as a woman but more as a femboy?), i just feel it would be cool to be considered "cute", but my body is not really feminine, so it is what it is;
But i don't think this influenced my decision

im one of them/theys

i dont really know what i am or how i can possibly be anything i dont resent. causes or reasons or resolutions are .missing from my head unfortunately. i dont know whether this prevailed over my previous transfeminine self because of some genuine, innate non-binaryness in me or the perpetuated dp/dr over the past years making anyone talking about me as anything more than just a 'they' concept of a person sickening. i truly have no idea don't use this against anyone else, im just. i do not kknow . i haven't been able to reason myself out of this since 2016 no matter how much i keep wishing i could

I identify as a sad abandoned puppy that wants love

I voted woman but more specifically I am trans girl. Being trans used to be part of why I was suicidal cus of gender dysphoria but thats been resolved thanks to social and medical transition. I am suicidal for reasons other than my gender now. I love being seen and treated as a girl as I like having a more feminine body, clothing and appearance and I more fit the traditional role of one cus of me being more emotional and sensitive and having other more feminine traits.

I would say you should add a specific trans woman and a trans man option
I keep wondering why so many trans people suffer so much.
cus of gender dysphoria making us feel uncomfortable with our bodies and how people refer to us. Us having these bodies and being referred to something other than the gender we feel just feels wrong. Also transphobia causing laws to made that go against us, our need for trans health care to be harder to get, most people going against us and hate us.

I identify as a jester
also cute new profile picture.

I'm a woman and it definitely plays a huge role in my depression. First because I have PMDD which causes me to become extremely irrational and deeply depressed to the point of almost ctb every single month for at least a week, over time that cycle really wears you down. Secondly, there are some societal pressures associated with being a woman that have negatively impacted me, it's hard sometimes to live up to the standard of being put together, pretty, polite and handle everything with grace all the time and I definitely feel the pressure of this.
BUT I am completely comfortable With my gender and I like being a woman.

You don't have to say sorry to me <3 Me being trans isn't a problem for me at all. Honestly I prefer being trans now. I am like the only trans person on SaSu that isn't suicidal being trans lol. I was just saying what most trans people face. I don't face much gender dysphoria cus I had a successful transition and I pass as a cis woman so and I don't face much transphobia as I personally stay ignorant to whats happening in the world and don't talk to much people physically anyways.

That's true though I think it's relevant to know if someone is trans when discussing gender in relation to mental health.

I guess I would be under "trans" but I don't see gender as an identity. I only see myself as a male who is trapped in a female body. If that's how identity correlates to you, then I guess it works out.

In order for me to identify as something I would have to have an identity, no one cares about my existence though so there's no identification. I am an unreferenced spirit waiting to be purged.

I'm a cis woman but I don't exactly strongly identify as a woman. I reject a lot of forms of femininity. I don't enjoy having periods. Given the choice, I'd probably opt to be male but, it isn't a strong desire either. So- I suppose I reluctantly identify as female although, I'm aware I don't make the cut in societies eyes.
