My biggest fear is surviving after an attempt. To live with the guilt and pain, it's too much. What are the chances that I might survive an SN poisoning and how can I fix that? I also plan of taking paracitamol along with it. How many can I take to lower the chances of survival?

I'm new so sorry if this is common knowledge, but apparently the success rate isn't too good for SN IMG 3902

I think it depends on how much preparation and research you do. But apparently only 15% of Sodium Nitrite or nitrate poisonings (deliberate suicide attempts) end in death.

15 percent seems really low, especially when it's touted as one of the best methods here. Could "self poisonings" include accidental self poisonings? I am aware people here on this forum have survived. Perhaps increasing the amount of SN above the recommended dose would help?

You're probably right tbh, I got that stat from this article . Looks like it was just in the state of Missouri, and it could be referring to people who initially survived the attempt but went on to die later on in the hospital. But it does refer to people who legitimately attempted suicide, since they said earlier in the article that almost all poisonings are intentional.

Actually yeah on second thought, I'm probably completely misinterpreting it

I highly doubt that. The PPH have covered this extremely well.
Consider the people writing that article and the motivations behind it. It's not just making people aware, it's to scare people to not even consider that method-
The pph has documented cases, by me 'pro's' & of course there's all the cases on here. Albeit there's no way of knowing if half are true. However people have done it over cam, for A spectator to document.

Yeah all good points. I'm probably misrepresenting that figure, I apologize . What is the PPH btw? And can you link it?

It is an extremely deadly poison even in accedental ingestion of small quantity. If you follow the regimen exactly and don't call for help or aren't found, chances of survival are very very slim.
