If SN fails because I do it wrong or pussy out, what is the likelihood of permanent damage?

I tend to be stupid so in the event that an attempt with SN fails, what are the chances of permanent and temporary damage to my body and/or brain?
What could these specific effects be, and how damaging could they be?
Also, how much would the medical bill cost? My family used to be decently well-off but now my dad lost his job, my sister is in chronic pain after an accident and many medical bills so she may need surgery, and my college tuition is increasing drastically because the school decided to spike the costs, so if something goes wrong I dont want to fuck over my family.
