I only read that she was taking a break, and thought she would return soon, didn't know she would be gone.

She was very nice and kind and helpful, sad to see her gone. I hope her life gets better. There have been too many deaths lately.

Well, maybe I can still see her around on April 23. If you know, you know.

I will miss Persephone very much. She always was so empathetic and friendly to me. I will miss you global mom. At least she is still living.

It's devastating that one of the last things Persephone ( @LastLoveLetter ) said was that she wasn't comfortable sharing anything about her life after what happened with @Snake of Eden. She was so considerate & supportive of so many of us, including him. I've printed out many of the posts in which she bravely shared her heart-rending life story. We had similar childhoods & I often think of her, especially after my daily "fits" & nightmares. I can't help but feel guilty that my life is much easier than hers; I don't know how she manages to be so consistently kind, gentle & patient despite being forced to carry such a heavy burden on her shoulders. I don't believe in God & angels & neither does she, but it's hard not to see her as angelic. She deserves so much love & freedom from pain.

I am seriously pissed at this Snake of Eden dude if he really did aggravate so many members, most recently Persephone. Most of it went over my head because I'm a nobody on here, but still. It seems to have been a kind of mass-incitement attempt initiated by him alone. Pretty sick if true.

She is alright, well, as alright as one can be in these circumstances, it is incredibly tough to get close to someone from here and then lose them suddenly, and I think the forum can be a hard hitting reminder of that grief. She left a profile post explaining why leaving the forum is necessary for her wellbeing. Though I am sure if you reach out to her, she would be happy to have the comfort of another friend right now.

It is sad to lose the valuable insights of someone so kind, compassionate, and was trying her best to make this a safe and tolerant place for people who are struggling. However, it can be a heavy burden to carry, and it is understandable how shouldering moderation can be detrimental when someone is already having a very difficult time.

Thanks @Nessie. Lots of people leaving or getting banned lately. I know there was some controversy surrounding @snake_of_eden departure but missed that too. Definitely seen some negative stuff on the forum lately so maybe better for people not finding the support they need to take a break for a while. Can't really see myslef self banning though. Makes more sense to just take a break I think. Each to their own of course.

Very saddened by all that appears to have gone on in relation to this, she seemed a good, genuine sort and l hope she's as well as she can be.

It doesn't matter whether the profile is visible or not, you can still view their posts. For example, Cathy Ames above you on this page (93). Their profile is private. But you don't have to click their username, just hover the mouse cursor over the name without clicking and the post count will appear and you click the number of messages.
