Spoiler: Waffle recipe

Waffle Batter

Ingredients:

0.25 L soured milk (karnemelk?)

0.25 L whole milk

1/2 cup sour cream (about 75–100 g)

3 eggs

About 300 g all-purpose flour

1 dl sugar (about 85 g)

75 g margarine, melted

1/4 tsp cardamom

1/4 tsp baking soda (mixed into the sour cream)

Instructions:

Mix the eggs and sugar together first.

Melt the margarine and stir it into the batter.

Add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.

Let the batter rest for a while before baking the waffles.

Idk if that translation makes any sense for the recipe

@gottacheckout - A waffle recipe, preferable Nordic. Will there be much difference? That would be great! There are lots of recipes online, but they're usually all messed up. I really like an old/original one.

I don't trust online recipes. I have a mostly Swedish recipe folder, a mostly Irish recipe folder, and my ex has a mostly Norwegian folder. The Nordic folders were put together by first generation immigrates, can't get more authentic than that.

Sphere your recipe makes sense. Does it make a sourdough batter?

Now you're asking complicated questions I think it's just a regular batter with soured milk in it, which seems to go by different names in different parts of the world (Kulturmelk here)
