i tried to ctb by burning charcoal in an enclosed place . stayed for 1 1/2 and didn't go unconscious. all that happened was that I felt light headed when I left the room and my ears rung. now my entire family is asking were that burning smell is coming from and I'm almost caught. what shall I try next

One and a half minutes? You're supposed to heavily sedate so you can pass out and be in there until you CTB or wake up hours later in disappointment (unlikely and hopefully not).

You would have also killed your family if you had done it right. So it's by the grace of God you didn't succeed. CO goes easily through walls and ceilings. You need to learn more about this method.

Mixing sulphuric acid and methanoic acid is also good for producing carbon monoxide.
