If God would put someone in hell because they suffered so much that they ended their own life, than God wouldn't be a God. I really don't think God would put someone in hell for this. :)

If you read the Old Testament/Torah closely, you'll learn that God/Yahweh is a bully and a gaslighter. He puts good people though suicide-level misery, while letting vicious, abusive human garbage live easy, happy lives. In other words, an MHP in spiritual form. So I wouldn't put it past him that he'd torture good, sin-free people in this life and in the afterlife.

Then again, I'm an atheist. I'm just extrapolating from what I read in Judeo-Christian scriptures.

The craziness of this reality is part of the reason I want to CTB. I find the religious belief of heaven and hell pretty extreme. I mean on the basis of one choice you get eternal pleasure or eternal torment. Eternal is a long time. Even Jesus who seemed pretty enlightened had some pretty intense teachings about hell. Assuming God is real and hell doesn't actually exist, I don't understand why would they allow such a crazy distorted view of the afterlife to be taught and generally accepted. The world is like this crazy fever dream nightmare in many ways.

I personally don't believe in the Bible since God didn't make it. But I totally agree there are so many bad things in the Bible.

If heaven is the total absence of pain and suffering.... and hell is only pain and suffering, how does one comprehend pain or suffering if they don't know both exist? IOW's, to know hot you must know cold. If in heaven and you think of those suffering in hell, would that not be hard to deal with? Knowing your buddy is not with you in heaven would cause you pain, right? If heaven is sans' pain, how would you know pain exists... If you believe in God... then you have to believe God created the Devil so that one could understand good vs evil. Without duality, you have singularity.... Singularity is everything and at the same time, nothing.... or, peace.

Not sure what you're basing that statistic on. I haven't noticed that people here are more virtuous than anywhere else.

The whole point of the bible is to explain how to get into heaven, which in this context is the only thing that really matters. Having it easy or difficult in this life isn't supposed to mean much because it's such a tiny detail in the big picture.

Gods might be real but, if there's a hell, aren't we already living in one? Even innocent children die in this world.
I wouldn't be so scared of hell. I think something better (even if it's eternal nothingness) is coming.

It was a random minuscule number, hoping that nobody on this forum is like that. Which is why I mentioned 'visit'

its hard for me to believe gods not real since im schizo and i hear voices and i think the voices are caused by god, i don't want to go to hell and suffer for all eternity when i am suffering less here. but i don't want to live like this. how do you people that commit to suicide get over your fear of hell and god.
