Venting They put me in the psych ward

Like the title says I got put in the psych ward, I'm so pissed off I wanna sh but I don't have anything with me, literally didn't think they'd actually move me here so I'm just done, genuinely I had my whole plan in place and all it took was someone looking at my phone when I was using it for them to end up getting mental health checked.

My room smells of piss, they haven't given me any accessibility aids. I just can't be bothered anymore

I'm using a vpn to but it keeps getting blocked randomly by the wifi so I'm hoping this actually posts.

Anyway if anyone wants to come break me out please do

HUGE hugs to you, as I have been in the same situation and you are a wonderful friend and you are never alone, never!

To get out, I kept my head down, mouth shut, never ever gave them any words to use against me (word wise) and got the hell out.

You will make it, you are smart and kind soul, and you are family and we are together in this always, always!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're desperate to self harm, you could resort to biting your arm. What are they gonna do, confiscate your teeth? Idk how dangerous that is though so take with a grain of salt.

A nice thought but I would have to advise against it, hospitals like these are not your friend. Many times I've seen it in my own country, the doctors are just waiting for an excuse to up your dose, to be able to scream or physically hit you, to put you in the padded room. I would not provoke anything in a psychiatric hospital. They are not your friend most of the time, this is the unfortunate truth.

A nice thought but I would have to advise against it, hospitals like these are not your friend. Many times I've seen it in my own country, the doctors are just waiting for an excuse to up your dose, to be able to scream or physically hit you, to put you in the padded room. I would not provoke anything in a psychiatric hospital. They are not your friend most of the time, this is the unfortunate truth.

You could try pass it off as a sexual thing and try to gross them out whenever they ask

They let u have a phone in the psych ward? When I was in one briefly they took clothes, shoes, phone, everything from me. I wasn't allergic wed the have anything and they had cameras watching me.

I was able to discharge myself after a couple of days when I was in. I remember a form and I was subtly told by a doctor that I should pretend that I'm doing perfectly fine and feeling better. In reality the ward made me feel so so much worse. That place was nasty lol.

Well, hopefully you never have to go to one, it's not fun and you can't word your way out of these kinds of situations, especially by passing it as a sexual thing. Don't know how it's where OP is from but it's not like a normal doctor, whatever you say to them they will forcefully fit into a diagnostic sheet and then force you to undergo that treatment.

A private trauma doctor would be on your side if the point was to heal from the sexual thing and they'd be understanding and try to be helpful.
A more concrete example for psychiatric hospitals: If a patient would declare that they hear voices even as A JOKE, they would be put on anti psychotics instantly most likely and be kept that way for as long as they stay, you need to be humble because they have your ass there, you have no control, it's like being in prison as someone who is innocent and every word that you say is going to be used against you, be as humble as possible, don't mock them, don't give them reasons, don't provoke them, don't lie in a way that is detrimental to your health, don't FAKE things that you don't suffer from because they are going to force you to go through the treatment until they see signs that you are not dealing with the problems anymore, no, going back on your words in 3-4 days in a jovial manner is going to make them even more suspicious. If you are stubborn, if you don't like being controlled (LIKE ME), JUST DON'T end up in these places, you're going to have a really REALLY bad time.

It is really not a game, this is why people hate these places.

I'm British so I've got the NHS and they don't do shit unless you're about to do a mass stabbing in a supermarket so I think I'd be alright in terms of being sent to one.

If I do end up in one though then God help me.

It's for an hour/two hours to talk to loved ones most likely, usually it was after the afternoon sedative and before sleep time. That's how it was when I went.

Well in my case even if you do say you will kill yourself. They won't hold you for more than 14-15 days without a case. Just say you want to leave and if you don't you want to go to court. They don't care about anyone enough to go to court for them. They'll just set you on your way.
