Is it disingenuous to apologise in a suicide note? since you're apologising before committing an act, it probably shows that you don't have real remorse, right? Also is it disingenuous to express love even though you are abandoning your loved ones? I do love my family but my intent to commit suicide propably means that i love myself more than them...

The intent of suicide doesn't come from self-love, it comes from deep hatred into yourself. So you are not loving yourself more than them, you are hating yourself to the point you can't feel love. Your depressed mind might be playing tricks on you to continue being depressed via self-sabotage.

From a family member that lost a loved one from suicide, a letter from him would have been a nice way of understanding that person better, and something to keep forever. I think it's like a last memory from them.

Not at all, I will be letting my loved ones know that I love them when it's my time to ctb. Sometimes the struggle becomes too much and not that you don't love them.

Not at all! I think it's far worse and far more selfish to NOT leave some form of explanation behind if you truly care for people in your life. Because even though you left them behind, closure is far more comforting than not knowing.

will letting them know that you love them will comfort them? or will it confuse them? or will intensify the loss for them? or will it make them more guilty?

I hope it will comfort them. It might intensify their loss though. But I wouldn't want to say goodbye without telling them it wasn't their fault and that I loved them.

taking responsibility definitely will help. but expressing love is said to have negative impact. idk

Be honest with you and say what you want and what you is.
