If you suck in socializing and making connections with people, you probably are still gonna be left behind, or even worse, hated, despised, outcast, & left alone.
I've experienced this first hand personally based from my own life's experiences. Yes, unfortunately, as long as you still live in this planet Earth, everyday you will have to deal with another human beings. And humans are complicated, because we also can't read other person's mind (& feelings). That's why you sometimes have misunderstandings.
And, for some people, especially for those who are socially awkward (just like me for example), it's really hard to know, or even predict & guess what is it that other person really wants. It's like trying to find your way out in the dark room.
And, in some cases, unfortunately, this can even crush & destroy your careers & opportunities! If you make just one wrong move or mistake, then you're done! People will hate you, and outcast you until you're completely alone in the end. The worst is when you don't even know what is it that you're doing wrong, or what is your mistakes!
Especially today/nowadays, I feel like we're living in an era where (with social media especially) you always have to constantly learn the tips & tricks & strategies on how to sort of climbing the social ladders, if you really want to be successful. You have to know the ropes. You have to know how to press the right buttons, so to speak. You have to know how to win people's hearts. You have to be able to meet people's demands, etc etc. You get my point, right?
Even online here is the same. Since here even online you're still dealing with other human beings too. You can have the most brilliant contents, or posts, threads, comments, etc2. But, if you don't know how to present & communicate your thoughts (& feelings) properly to people, then nobody wants to be a part of you.
Human beings are social creatures, after all. "Birds of a feather flock together", that's why it's a well-known proverb. People will often 'flock' to the most interesting person/people, and will outcast someone who is just not good at socializing.
I've always been a loner, most of the times. And it's just really sad, even though I have always yearned & wished for a deeper human's connection. But, unfortunately, it seems like 'depth' & authenticity is not always appreciated enough. These days especially, what really matters is just how 'presentable' your 'image' is really, in front of people. People only care about the most shallow & superficial aspects of 'socializing' (or social skills) first & foremost. Especially in today's social media era.
