So how exactly (biologically) does SN kill you?

I've watched a number of Dignitas videos, and it all seems very peaceful and painless.

A minute, minute & a half and you're gone.

But can anyone please let me know how it kills you? Does it shut down your respiratory system, for example?

From the videos I've seen, it's very swift.

I'm feeling lower than ever, so I need to get this fucking done.

They use Nembutal. It shuts down your brain. SN is nowhere near as peaceful, and it turns the haemoglobin in your blood to iron.

SN kills by bringing about methemoglobinemia, or the elevated presence of methemoglobin in the blood.

It doesn't shut down your respiratory system; it just makes it so your blood can no longer transport oxygen to your tissues. You'll be able to breathe unobstructed during your attempt. (You will experience shortness of breath though).
