I'm in the US and have been struggling to find any kind of source myself. Any help would be appreciated.

Google AI mode said this. Is this true?
  • CO Poisoning: Carbon monoxide poisoning is often described as insidious or "vicious" because CO binds to hemoglobin much more effectively than oxygen, but it does not necessarily trigger the sensation of breathlessness. Victims may become confused, lethargic, and simply pass out without a dramatic fight to breathe, feeling perhaps a strong headache or flu-like symptoms. The blood turns a characteristic cherry-red, and the victim often remains pink, making it hard to detect clinically.
  • Sodium Nitrite Poisoning: Sodium nitrite poisoning is more dramatic in its clinical presentation than CO poisoning. The most striking visual symptom is profound cyanosis—the skin, lips, and nail beds turn a blue, grey, or even a "chocolate-brown" color because methemoglobin has a dark appearance. While confusion and an altered mental state (similar to CO) are prominent symptoms as the brain becomes starved of oxygen, the victim is often very aware that something is terribly wrong with their breathing and circulation, leading to a sense of anxiety and distress, alongside headaches, dizziness, and a rapid heart rate.

I would not trust any AI when it comes to anything CTB related. Most are trained not to give real info now I belive.

I found a couple legit sellers that sell to residential customers in the US, but at a higher premium of course.
