Okay I'll try to explain the HCL based on someone else's explanation. "HCL is the medical friendly, water and acid soluablle, salt version of an amine. Amines are converted to a salt form for their standardized and predictable rates of solubiliy and absorption. Think of HCL's as though you were making a glass of koolaid. You want the koolaid to dissolve easily and quickly as well as dispersrse evenly in the water. You don't want clumps or undissolved pieces etc.when you stir it up. HCL's accomplish this, thereby enabling them to be handled easily and administered evenly and efficently. "
Thanks for this. I've read the part where it makes an analogy to a koolaid. So does that mean koolaid is analogous to a medication/drug and HCl would help disperse the koolaid molecules evenly in the water?

I just wish there's a bit more explanation where it involves molecular level explanation for HCl..

So HCL denomination at the end of medication/drug always means HCL helps the medication/drug in question to be well dissolved in water, and therefore is an orally administered drug (e.g. a tablet form)?

So yes it can still be taken orally, my apologies for the confusion. A lot of these science terms often make things sound much more confusing than they really need to be....
I was just referring to a webm drug page that talked about the HCL version being taken via injection and saw the medication box for injection vials.

Thank you posting the picture. Originally saw the liquid/vial injection versions of it and read the medical pages talking about only the injection and oral intake.
That will still work as intended. Apologies for the confusion with the first reply.

HCL (Hydrochloride) Its just identifying the chemical salt of the drug. Its not important so some don't use it in the name.
It really makes things a bit more complicated because it makes it seem like an entirely different drug.

This reminds me of that situation where someone made a petition for banning Dihydrogen monoxide. Which sounded dangerous until you realize it was just water.
Thank you so much for clarifying. One last question, and it's not because your explanation isn't great but because I want to make sure I get it right. Whether it says meto or meto hcl on the box we still take 10mg 3 times a day for 48h, right? The regimen is the same no matter what's written on the box?

10mg 3 times a day for 48h, yes that is the proper "Ahead regimen" to follow.

There is one other regimen known as the "stat dose" taking a large amount of meto all at once, but I would not advise that unless in a really desperate situation where you don't have enough time. Increased chance of throwing up.

Here is the wiki link about the antiemetic regimen.

Yep, I saw that, thank you! I was asking if that changes when it comes to metoclopramide hydrochloride, although from what Ermac explained I think it should be the same. Just want to make absolutely sure because I have an embarrassingly long list of failed attempts behind me and this time I have to get it right.

The biggest empty capsules I found will just fill 500 mg powder. It's like 40 capsules to swallow to get 20 g. Or maybe take 10 or something capsules and then drink the rest?
I found "000 capsules" (they fit 550--1350mg of powder) on amazon. It's going to take a while for my SN to arrive but if nobody beats me to it I'll post here again to let everyone know how many capsules are needed for 20g.

I bought Metoclopramide via eBay, and don't know if it's fake or not? I tried it while I actually felt a bit nauseous. Felt it works, but really it could have been placebo or something. Hmm.
I'm equally unsure of eBay meds although one member succeeded with them. Obviously it's better to get prescription if possible. Did you buy the Greek one?

I've posted asking for info on others reactions to eBay meto but haven't received a response.

Can amitriptyline be used as a sedative for this method? I just got a full box from my uncle since he won't be needing it anymore, and I thought it could be of use.

Just a quick question. Since we need a d2 antagonist antiemetic for the regimen, does anyone know if risperdone would do the trick?
i wish someone can answer the above question.. i have the same question as well..

Risperidone isn't prescribed as an anti-emetic although it has been observed to have anti emetic properties in animals.

If you look on wiki there's a list of D2 antagonist anti emetics:

This post will be dedicated to compiling all the information we have on the Sodium Nitrite method (SN), including what else is needed and comparing it to other popular methods.

Before starting, I HIGHLY encourage you read most, if not all, of the chapters on the PPH, as this method may not be the most suited for you.

First of all, let's discuss why this method works, and how it kills.

Sodium Nitrite, NaNO2, acts as a catalyst in the conversion of the hemoglobin in your blood into methemoglobin (MetHB), a molecule with a much higher affinity with oxygen. This occurs when the ferrous ions in the regular hemoglobin are converted into ferric ones.
Since it's affinity is so high, methemoglobin cannot let the oxygen flow into other tissues that need it, thus depriving them of oxygen even while you're breathing. Death, then, occurs by hypoxia.
Sodium Nitrite poisoning symptoms include nausea, vertigo, vomiting, very heavy headaches and, should you manage to not pass out for too long, seizures.
The PPH claims that, during a monitored suicide with SN, the patient was unconscious at 12 minutes and dead by 35. However, some sources claim that SN poisoning might take as much as 8 hours to kill, probably due to low dosage.
Since methemoglobin creation is a natural process in our bodies, you must be aware that a certain enzyme works to transform it back into hemoglobin again. This is why the recommended dosage has varied on the PPH so much, as the syntetization of these enzymes and their "power" to overcome the formation of MetHB depends purely on your body, thus making a normal, general dose for all who chose this method very hard to determine, unlike N.

As for the physical symptoms your body will experience, not much will really change. Since your blood will mainly be MetHB, it will take on a bluish chocolate brown color, and the tips of your fingers, toes and nose (amongst others) will turn slightly blue from cyanosis.

Now, lets take a look at the "shopping cart".

You'll need the following:

SN: The main compund for this method, Sodium Nitrite is easy enough to find. You're looking for >98% purity Nitrite. This chemical is sold without regulation and can be bought from Amazon, Ebay or any lab supplier in your area. 100 grams cost between 8 and 10€. This chemical is completely legal to own and is used during curation of meats to preserve their color. It's described as "White to yellowish powder/crystals" and it's said to have "slightly salty taste". It is also very soluble in water.
The recommended dose from the PPH is 15 grams, however, this has increased on different issues, from only 5, to 12 and now to 15.
Very important: You're looking for Sodium Nitrite, not Sodium Nitrate; NaNO2, not NaNO3.
Should you not find it just by looking up Sodium Nitrite, look for: NaNO2, NNaO2 or Filmerine. Make sure you're buying what you want and that it's purity is high enough. For more information on it plus some industrial sellers, check Sodium Nitrite on Pubchem.

Antiemetics: Strong enough antiemetics for this method are not OTC, so you'll need to see your way around this. You're looking for Metoclopramide or any of it's commercial names, like Reglan/Primperan. This antiemetic needs to be a Dopamine blocker for it to work.
Antiemetics aren't 100% necessary for this method, however; just like with N, you wont accomplish anything if you end up puking it all out, which is likely. This will also most likely be the bulk of the money you'll use during this method.

Acid Regulators: Another thing recommended in the PPH is raising your stomach's pH to make the SN more effective. This can be accomplished with drugs like Tagamet (The one recommended on the PPH, 800mg, which is to my knowledge OTC) or even bicarbonate, though not as effective.

I recently got asked a few things regarding SN. First of all, you must know that the effects of this poisoning are completely reversible. It is very unlikely that you will have any permanent damage should you be "saved" during your attempt. Secondly, since this method relies on hypoxia, cardiovascular problems will reduce the amount of MetHB in blood needed to actually kill you. This, however, shouldnt really be a problem since it is sold starting from 100 grams, far more than the amount needed.

Lastly, there have been cases of people recovering from SN poisoning without any "side effects", but even if the ambulance is called soon enough, it is not certain that you will survive.

Should you have any question you can't find the answer of, please comment it and maybe you'll find someone on this community who knows.
Also, should you have any more information you'd like to share, please post it and tag me so I can edit this post and get it included. Thank you.
can i use a domperidone (motilium) as my antiemetics? or does it have to be metoclopramide?

Is fasting 100% necessary? What effect does it have?
Its also because you don't want a lot of acid in your stomach, it will cause pain.

I have some morphine pills left over from an op i had a year or two ago. thinking of taking a couple before the SN hoping it would reduce the headache. Any thoughts?

Symptoms of methemoglobinemia may vary depending on which type you have. The main symptoms are:
  • cyanosis, which describes a bluish color of the skin, especially the lips and fingers
  • chocolate-brown colored blood
It's because of cyanosis that some people call methemoglobinemia "baby blue syndrome."
As methemoglobin levels increase, symptoms continue to get more serious. These can include:
  • headache
  • shortness of breath
  • nausea
  • rapid heart rate
  • fatigue and lethargy
  • confusion or stupor
  • loss of consciousness
  • seizures.
can i use a domperidone (motilium) as my antiemetics? or does it have to be metoclopramide?

Yes but it is a weaker antiemetic. Some members say that zofran + domperidone is similar to meto.

I'd like to use SN as my method, but I'm on antipsychotics. I'm worried if I use metoclopramide but fail the attempt, there will be really bad side effects from the metoclopramide-antipsychotic interaction.

I've read successful accounts of fasting for 24 hours and then using SN without any antiemetics. Are these real?

In addition to SN, I have access to zofran and percocet. What is the best way to take these to maximize the probability of a peaceful death?

Which anti psychotic do you take? You can look up drug interactions online to see if it's viable. I'll do it for you if you tell me the drug.

There probably have been successful attempts like this but it's not worth the risk of vomiting in my opinion.

Zofran is normally used with Domperidone to have around equal effect as Metoclopramide (Unsure of the dosage, maybe someone can help)

People have taken various painkillers with SN before for the headache; however Percocet can cause Metoclopramide to become less effective although increasing the sedative effects (guessing this applies to any opiate medication)

You can look up any drug interactions here (example above shown)

It's not so helpful but I've found with more research that 3 were successful with eBay primperan and one failed vomiting.

Definitely it's better to have a prescription. There is a website based in Curaçao claiming to sell it in many EU countries having EU registered doctors dispatched from EU registered pharmacies.

We should also factor in the mind when talking about nausea. It is very common for people with high anxiety to be nauseous and I really can't expect everyone to be absolutely calm during this time so that could also be a contributing factor

Yep, I understood the context Neville . I was trying to give another perspective on what seems to be a common theme about the vomiting which really seems to come from 1 or 2 sources and seems to have expanded to everyone vomits. Without a wide range of case histories its hard to say that will you vomit is a fact. Even the description of symptoms says 'you may....' rather than 'you will...'. Its a bit like reading the side effects from a prescribed drug, if everyone read them, nobody would take the drug. And the people who died accidentally from it in their autopsy files didn't show vomiting, just the change in skin colour, blood changing colour and low oxygen in the blood. The reports on the survivors spoke about stomach pain, but then their process was interrupted and didn't reach the unconscious stage. Obviously I have not done SN yet but looked quite a lot outside of this forum for what I could call 'hard facts' are there are some good details out there. I think its more important that you know the SN is at the right purity for the job.

I would love to know where you got your Meto/Acid reducer, if you could PM me that. I could probably get a prescription since I have been getting nausea over the past 2 months for some odd reason, but I'd rather avoid contact with another human.
