i don't know if this actually matters that much. my birthday is tomorrow and my mom said i could buy new glasses if i wanted to. i did an eye exam earlier, but i didn't buy glasses while i was there because the frames were too big for my face. i have been wanting glasses for a while, but i'm killing myself on the weekend so i feel like there isn't a point in buying new ones so close to my sui date. i feel like this question is so specific that it's stupid lol. the last time i bought new frames was on my birthday in 2023.

i feel like u should def treat urself before u do it. it'll be your last chance to treat yourself, so why not? im sure your mom would share the same sentiment in wanting to treat you if ever she knew your plan. consider it your last gift to yourself. if i were in your shoes, id def do it as a well whatever im going anyway move hahah, goodluck w whatever decision u make!!! also happy early bday!!! i dont suppose thisll make a difference, but i hope u enjoy your day and treat urself to glasses

I've blown a lot of money on stupid shit despite planning to ctb this month, maybe I'm coping and just have bad impulse control, but I don't think it really matters, just do/buy what you want before you go if it makes you happier or more comfortable. So yeah unless there's someone you know who could really use the money, I wouldn't feel too bad about it. Also happy early b-day, I hope it's the best birthday ever!

i usually don't make big purchases like glasses or a new phone that often unless they're broken or lost. i used to lose my glasses a lot as a kid, so i guess i still feel guilty about it now. i have some time to decide since i need to look for a store that sells glasses frames i like. when i came into the house earlier my mom asked if i bought any and i said no my glasses have a problem of sliding down and my right glasses screw is loose because i wasn't able to find a replacement.

i'm also thinking about dress shopping for a party on friday, but i haven't figured out how much it'll cost yet/where i'll go.

just a concience thing then. we all say you should buy it but if you know from yourself that this eat you up inside from guilt then dont do it.
