This means you are not applying enough pressure. You are closing only your jugulars and not your carotids. The carotids lie a bit deeper and will need more pressure unfortunately.

Pain is unreal I'd rather jump infront of a train than go threw it. I just cant see myself being successful at it. And like I know teens who have bin very successful in doing it where I live. Not sure if I can post their age. But they where a hell of a lot younger than me. And I'm 30

First I loop the end of the belt through the ring so that it forms a loop where my head will go. Then I tie the end of the belt to this bar I have in my wardrobe... it's pretty sturdy... and put my head through the loop, make sure that the buckle (ring) is under my left ear and slump down...

How do you tie the end of a belt to a bar? I don't get it :(
Seems like too stupid to figure out hanging

If you have a belt like a joga belt it will be easy (its material). Just tie it with knots as securely as you can

Projecting neurotic worrying problems out on everyone~ Anyone 'practicing' this just keep in mind when it gets into position correctly after playing around with it it's not going to be several minutes of feeling what its like it's legit you'll go out in seconds and not come back. I'm mainly posting this because rope and even the belt can feel awkward and like it isn't gonna work until it suddenly is in the right spot. Want to make sure there is a choice.
I strongly second this. When you hit the right spot.. you go from feeling like it's slowly starting to work, to being about to pass out in a second. If I hadn't gotten out in about 3 seconds I wouldn't be here, though that was an attempt and self preservation kicking in. When you go, you fast. You may not come back from that. Just be aware. Practising is strongly ill advised.

So frustrated that people get it right and it seems so confusing to me.

I'm using my dressing gown rope with a slip knot. Have it set up but am holding off as the first time I tried it I used a belt and it really hurt me.

Do you have to go down hard? I seen video on here yesterday and the girl just leaned forward and she was out in a matter of seconds.

yeah I recommend going down hard and fast. did it for me. I really don't get that video... but I guess different things might work for different people

How long did it take you to go out? Did it hurt? Is there anymore advice you could give? Sorry for the questions

Did you start to go dizzy? How did you do it?
I pass out in 5 second, it was painless, only by pulling hard the other side of the belt.
I was in my bathroom so I fell on the floor, dislocated my shoulder then woke up totally dizzy...
I fixed by myself my shoulder (i know how to do) and I felt ... good ! thinking: WOW, easy !
The point is to be able to anchor very well the other side of the belt and choose the right place to do it (for me, not at home)
