this is like
a silly pop song
but I think it's very clearly a gnostic message about material reality and embracing the fact that you live in it in spite of how fucking obscene it is, while retaining knowledge of your metaphysical being
"let's get physical" isn't about sex, it's about existing physically

it's probably extremely obvious but whatever I like this song D<



And if you wanna get into straight up demonic pop, this one is an obvious reference to lilith and I kind of enjoy it
(also covid iconography I guess, particularly referring to fertility conspiracies imo. nasty and evil )

TW: EMO One of the only songs of theirs with a music video. It's also one of my favorite songs along with Sedated Times. And the clip is pretty fun too.





The Beautiful People/120 Days is a Norwegian punk/alt/other idk rock band that was active from 2006-2011. They have some really good stuff, though it's not for everyone. Also a lot of their tracks are about sex, but not all. Most are "sad white boy music", obviously.

This one speaks to me a lot, and is a case where I've been in the position of both the singer and the person they're addressing. I've been told so many times how to be better, shown care and support, and nothing "got through to me". And also I've had friends and family members that no matter how reasonable what I said was, they wouldn't change their ways. It's always up to each individual in the end, and if you can't convince them, you just have to accept it.

I really love the instrumental section in the middle, I recommend you listen to the full version (the music video is shortened significantly). The desolate, almost crying-like sounds + the riffs and drums joining in later is just such vibe! In general 120 Days have amazing instrumental melodies.
