Happy synthesizer
It's catchy, upbeat, it calms me down. The lyrics are good as well. You can look up a translation if you're interested. One line is "you don't have to be strong, just true to yourself"
I've been obsessing over B3313 again, so I'll share a few more tracks from it I really love. I'll make it short, won't write too much on the context this time (well I lied :)
The first two tracks are both made by the hack's main composer - NewSupKaizo55. Just like Dire, Dire Victory, this one is played in one of the final areas of the game. However, unfortunately you don't get to hear this one for long, as the area is very short, unless you pause to listen. It's ominous and tragic, really fitting how the whole world seems to be falling apart at this point.
This one, despite its name, is not all that negative, but very pleasantly somber. It's the wing cap theme of the hack, so you get to hear pretty often, but it never gets boring or repetitive, in my opinion. I especially like the pitch shift at 0:48 and the following progression that brings a bit of hopefulness to the theme.
This track is composed by Bobstar! I think it's the most fitting final boss theme for B3313, which is what it used to be back in the older versions of the hack, until it was replaced by, in my opinion, an inferior version. The instrumentation just doesn't hit the same.
Back to the original: it just sounds so desperate, like both you and Bowser realize how futile this fight is in the grand scheme of things. You're both trapped in the Plexus, anyway. None of this leads anywhere, your victory meant nothing. I especially love the end section: 1:54 and onwards, with the organ? (this instrument at 2:05) adding a lot to the feeling of hopelessness.
To end on something positive, here's perhaps the most hopeful sounding track of the hack, made by wasteofblood - another prolific composer for many "beta" soundtracks of Mario 64, not just B3313. This is the original composition, and not the in-game conversion, like all previous tracks, because I believe that this version is so much better, and it really did not translate properly into the game. I guess it's due to the fact that it wasn't initially made for B3313, and wasn't made with the limitations of SM64's soundfont in mind. Anyway, I love this track, the final part at 2:30 makes my cheeks tingle (does anyone else experience that sometimes with music?).
As was the case last time, this might seem silly to you, how much I care about some Mario ROM hack music, and that's because... you right! It is silly. I am silly. It's all distraction anyway, from doing what I know needs to be done. Isn't everything we like just that? Silly distractions? Who cares who's is sillier, then?

Crystal Castles is an interesting band because I hate some of their songs and absolutely love others. Those belonging to thr latter category seem to be more aphex twin/new order influenced, whereas the former seem more chaotic and punkish in nature and lacking a clear structure.
i love listening to this song and imagining that every evil man in my life goes through exactly what they deserve. i also just really enjoy nicole's voice and lyricism... she encapsulates the vibe of living in the bible belt very well.
I love energetic and happy music. It makes every thought pleasant and bearable. It gives me confidence. This eurobeat track is one of the ones I hold above others. All eurobeat lyrics are corny, but I don't mind.
I lost my innocence when I first heard this song. On that day I knew I turned into a man. The video to the song is not bad either.
I like uplifting songs like this one.
Just some chill beats from Nujabes.
I learned to love his music when I watched Samurai Champloo way back when. I still listen to his music on a daily basis, mainly when I drive, just to relax.
I don't usually listen to this kind of music, my attention span is just not up to the task XD, but I liked this one. It's chill, kinda helps me just live in the moment for a while. What are your other favorites?
