I just found out my dad has been in the hospital since Sunday. As I have previously posted, I have problem with the people around me dying. I can't handle death, I never could. I really need to make sure I die before anyone else does. I just can't deal with losing anything else.

Losing someone really can cause so much suffering which is why I wish that people didn't decide to procreate in the first place, as loss is inevitable in an existence where we are all destined to die and it's really understandable wanting to escape from all future torment. I wish you the best with your plans.

I'm so sorry your dad is in the hospital. It sounds like you have reason to believe he's quite unwell, and I'm sorry for that, too. It was pretty devastating when my dad got cancer and was going through it.

I agree. I often find myself wishing I was never born so I would never have had to lose anything to begin with. I never plan on having children for many reasons but one big one is so they don't have to deal with the world either. It almost feels like I'm doing them a service by never giving them a chance.
