Rude much?

You're entitled to your opinion and your own method of suicide but frankly you know nothing about my situation so please don't pass comment.

Lately we've been getting comments that are either "pro life" or lack the empathy of "pro-lifers"

Some guys have a fetish of infecting people with hiv, you should look into it.

This is a terrible, nonsensical idea and could pose risks to others down the line.

I don't know why I just wasted my time replying but I had to say something I guess.

It's not that easy to catch HIV, you could have sex several times with an infected person and still not get it

You are looking for a 100% method but your idea is about as far from it as you can get. The other reply's above are not pro-life ... They are anti-bad methods. The forum is about listening to others, talk about issue's and methods. You ask about a method and it's clear that no one thinks this is a good idea. You said you have no funds whatsoever so other methods are not an option right now but you also talk of a job so my advice would be to wait and get funds and buy a method that is more peacefull/has a much higher succes rate.

Why may i ask would you prefer an option that is extremely unreliable and takes years rather than minutes er even seconds?

It's just that the whole idea may even worsen your suffering (alot) while the idea is to end the suffering.

I don't really get why you don't want to use a more conventional and immediate method when you are ready to ctb. Getting HIV sounds like a really roundabout way of doing things.

I'm not pro life just pro a better way to exit. ;) I guess there aren't better options ? I did see that you mentioned there are strict regulations on pharmaceutical drugs. (I think I did see that the first time as well)
I just hope you can find a better way out. AIDS will not be an easy way out … I guess you already know that and you must be extremely desperate to ctb.

That is just so wrong … especially if the person they are infecting is not aware of that persons hiv status.

I felt that I had to say something as well. I may not be able to talk twilightzone out of it but I'm hoping he/she can find a different solution to ctb.

I have to agree instead of years it may be a decade or more. Anyone who tries this method to ctb will truly suffer probably for a long time.

If you're deemed mentally unsound or whatever, can you still legally refuse treatment in your country? Say if you got sick enough from an infection and a stranger took you to hospital.

I am sharing this concern for consideration as it has previously motivated me not to use my long term, eventually fatal disease as a method to ctb - in my country I can be made to have treatment (and there is a big mh record so I don't think I would win the argument), so allowing myself to get that sick would likely be for nothing. I almost died from it once, but I was a minor, I investigated and would not have been able to appeal successfully as far as I could tell.

It seems that unfortunately, a fullproof suicide attempt is not possible for me given that I 1.) live in a shit country that has overregulation on pharmaceutical products. 2.) have poor social connections so can't buy benzos, GHB, or heroin to overdose on and 3.)have been without money (€0 for the last 6 months) as well as parents who won't help me find a job but claim they're supporting me.

I asked for some advice here and people said that I should try and find more jobs but its useless. In two weeks, I'm going to go back to college to do computer science. I think I'll sell my laptop then look for someone who has HIV, meet up for casual sex and infect myself. Don't worry, I won't be a dick (metaphoricaly speaking ) and infect anyone else. I'll stop right with me.

People will say that I might as well choose a painful method but I know a guy who has HIV and it's terminal. He says his body only started suffering towards the end and for the first 3 years, everything appeared normal. No pain. He infact gets more attention for his doctor who prescribes him benzos for anxiety.
Clever, that's not a bad idea.

Australia. Typically they get a panel in to assess you if you're competent (which has little bearing on whether you are imo from the things I've read) and your next of kin involved to consent or refuse on your behalf to be more specific.

so you can't refuse medical treatment (with this I don't mean for mental illnesses only, I mean for physical illnesses) if you are deemed mentally uncompetent?
wow!

it's not easy to refuse treatments especially if you have any record of mental illness or suicide attempt to deem you not well / lacking capacity ..

and how does that look like?
Do people who are deemed mentally incompetent have some kind of government appointed guardian or something?

Huh...I thought that was the opposite. Europe in general is much "less caring" when it comes to forcing treatment/sanctioning on mental patients. That's from my belief at least.

In Ireland, I just got a letter being turned down by the mental health services here. They don't want me. If I attempt suicide, they'll most likely release me.

I think if I had HIV, no one could force treatment on me. Surely "forced treatment" in Australia and the UK is overexaggerated no? Even if those laws exist, how often are they used? Kind of like how the police in my country technically have the power to sanction suicidal people but don't in most cases.
