• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

i've been afraid of dying in a way that doesn't let me experience death properly. i want to be conscious to experience the peacefulness that people describe after near-death expereinces. i don't want to die while asleep or unconscious, because i would be missing out on that. i don't know if i'm making sense, but would hanging allow for that? preferably something that doesn't require a huge bypass of SI or is super painful, but i'd assume something like that doesn't exist anyways...

I never thought of this before. I'm not sure there is a 100% way to be conscious the second before death.

Wouldn't you pass out a few minutes before actually dying from hanging? And bleeding out you would also lose consciousness. And overdoses can lead to severe seizures and you don't feel conscious having seizures. And jumping would possibly be instant death or survival most likely.

I can't think of anything. When I nearly died twice I was only slightly aware of what was happening.

Technically drugs like fent and heroin if you want a high before death. I've been in a nde and it is peaceful but that was when I was 12 and was thrown out of a flipped over car with the tire burning on the side of the highway and survived and landed to the grass before losing consciousness.

I'm not a medical expert or anything. So please correct me if I'm wrong.
But I've only heard about these things when people get reanimated after accidents or difficult surgery. So I think the name "near death experience" could be misleading. Maybe it's more like a brain mechanism to get over extreme situations?

Anyway, I understand the thought of wanting to experience death. It's the last thing ever to experience, so why not try to get "the complete version" of it. The only way I can think of, though, is natural death.
