Interesting study but TLDR; females attempt much more often than males

It is not likely for me to have an occupation, because I will pass away before I finish studies. I am a writer, poet and a composer myself but yet never published.

Previously worked in customer service call canter because I didn't have degree and couldn't get job anywhere else. It was complete hell getting yelled at and cussed out by customers. I then tried being a housekeeper but I couldn't keep up with the physical demands. Now I am unemployed and do nothing.

Police officers and Soldiers also have the highest rates of suicide.
Can't see why dentists would want to die more than any other professional.
As to the Lawyers, well, it's a stressful and mentally tiresome profession, not to mention that sometimes they have to deal with very disturbed and dangerous people and fucked up scenarios.

I thought about work that I might be able to do but as humanities graduates flood the market it's pretty much impossible without a lot of luck and a career attitude to become a librarian

I am polite to call centre employees and it makes me sad because often they are startled by common courtesy. For a minute, they think they are being trolled. It's so sad.

Thank you for sharing. Very interesting, though a bit misleading as men are more likely to complete an attempt, but it is not known whether more men or women attempt suicide (or it's not addressed in this data set).

Also couldn't help but notice the patriarchal influence in that men were addressed before women throughout the article. Nursing is dominated by females, who are in a hierarchical field in which doctors, a profession dominated by males, have superiority. (I recall one study in which nurses followed a doctor's instructions even if they broke legal protocols.*)

*See? I told y'all I was a lawyer
none of this convinces me quite frankly, that you are a lawyer; lawyers spend less time analyzing patriarchal pomp and circumstance. We know that nursing is dominated by
females; I worked in a similar woman-dominated profession (m.l.s.libray and archival science). I tell you this because I think that you attribute so much of this to patriarchal response, when in fact, it is incorrect and doesn't tally with the facts. More and more females are joining the medical profession. Your facts, sadly, are awry
