Hi

Just an update on my horrible health, I am being treated by top urologists in the UK and they seemingly have no idea how to get rid of this infection which has resisted so many antibiotics. I'm getting really tired of the pain, I just feel grief I can't even describe and absolute helplessness. I have been in contact with Pegasos and they don't deem this level of suffering 'enough'. So I'm basically abandoned by all health professionals and cant even die in a dignified way.
Do you think its worth contacting Philip Nitschke? I just want to be free from this physical illness. Its getting to the point where I'm worried I'll do soemthing stupid like stab myself out of desperation.
Please note I would never consider suicide if not for this chronic physical illness.

I'm sorry you have to deal with such pain. Did you actually apply to Pegasos and get denied or did you just make an inquiry via email to see if it was something they would recommend you to apply for?

I enquired via email, and they sent back a mental health helpline. I just dont understand what to do if all specialists cannot help me, do I just live in chronic pain? I really would not expect any animal to live like this.

I think its because I'm 35 years old, but I dont understand the relevance of age to suffering like this.

But why the arbitrary age limit for something like this? It's going to be so so horrible for me to have to do this myself.
I need to be able to think clearly too to carry this out. I have to laugh because it's got to the point im googling wild swomming locations to drown myself.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I have a chronic illness too, although I don't think it's as bad as yours. But I understand how you feel. People around us just refuse to accept that maybe if we have constant unbearable pain, we don't want to go on. They expect us to just adapt to it and be comfortable with living in agony. But they don't understand that just isn't an option. They don't understand what it's like.
