How do I self harm in ways no one else can see them? I used to dig nails on the back of my neck, but now I have short hair and therefore can't hide them anymore
i never was partial to wrist cutting cuz its so in your face ( i like the look actually but i dont think its very practical for being a functioning member of society)
so i always cut my thighs, im not sure how invisible this would be for your purposes...
my therapist said i could squeeze an icecube in my hand instead of sh, i never tried it but should be invisible enough i guess
A weak taser maybe?
Or one of those shocking dog collars if you want control over the strength.
At least give the icecube method a try tho. It's one step up from those grounding therapy toys but its probably the "best" advice you'll get in regards to this.
i sometimes hit myself with my own fists/heavy objects and if im left with bruises i just tell people it's because i fell or accidentally hit myself (you can also say you have problems with blood coagulation and bruise easily)

If you restrict it to a certain area and don't live with other people, you can always just wear a watch when you go outside. Not sure if there's any job out there that requires you to have no wrist accessories.

Also used to strike myself until bruised.
Worst of it was when I repeatedly slammed my head into a wall.
Left massive bruising all over my forehead. Took weeks to disappear. That was, uh, fun to explain. So I don't recommend that.
Now I'll just hit my chest. End up bruised all over that way, and no one sees it.
Cutting on the lower calf near/on your ankles works, you just need to wear socks or leg warmers, which is pretty inconspicuous. I also used to put salt on the back of my hand near the knuckles and press ice against it, it only left a small chemical wound/scar; plus it's a pretty cool technique, it reminds me of that one movie with the schizophrenic insomniac main character i forgot the name of.
Dripping hot wax from a pillar candle on your skin. It doesn't leave proper burns but it hurts. I like to use a red candle to simulate the blood dripping down my arm. Both the look and the feel are surprisingly accurate in regards to cutting, plus it's satisfying to peel the wax off.
hitting myself until i bruise, scratching myself, cutting, ripping/plucking hairs out and being anorexic lol. all of mine seem like noticeable methods on the body but they can really just be covered up by long sleeves and pants.
