• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

There isn't quite a hell like living in the wage cage is there.
Bonus points if you work around toxic people with their own s***** backstories
There are countries that provide free basic healthcare, lots of paid time off, <40 hour work weeks.

The interesting thing, despite all that, is everyone seems to want to immigrate to the US for the chance to work harder and longer hours to attain the American dream. All the Nordic and socialist countries with the amenities listed above have ~55% taxes… right off the top. Immigration into those countries is extremely low. No one wants to pay for all of that stuff for everyone else.

Pick your battles. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
That's not true at all those countries just have standards when it comes to immigration while the US does not. Don't pretend the us is some Paradise because many drank the Kool-Aid and get stuck here.

I'm not sure why this post has gained so much traction all of a sudden but I can assure you all that my thoughts have not changed
I feel the same way. I grew up in an very abusive home that was so bad that i suffer from dissassociative amnesia. Now I'm expected to spend the rest of my life working? 8 hours of work, and 1.5 hour commute, plus 1 hour to get ready, and 30 minutes bedtime routine and 9-10 hours of sleep (hypersomnia). Then the weekend to recover and get ready for the next week and repeat until I die? What kinda life is that? I think your feelings are valid and eveyone else is crazy. Why would you want to work your whole adult life, barely see your family and friends and make money for an institution that sees you as a number on a spreadsheet. When instead you could work a little and use the rest of your time to pursue hobbies. I think some of is just aren't meant for this nonsensical world.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I feel the exact same way. I have a ridiculously high cc limit so I've also thought of maxing it out before I go. I also love sleeping and general anesthesia; both are amazing!
Exactly we are all supposed to fit in the society and be little cogs when all of us come from completely different backgrounds and not everyone has the "normie" mentality to just be happy slaves. Humans are fucked
