I think I want to be a tree

I think when I die I want to be cremated and put in one of those biological urns. Instead of a funeral I think I would just want to be planted somewhere. That way, my death wouldn't seem so sad, but instead be a way something that wanted life could live. I'm not sure where I would have them plant the tree though.

That's a nice idea. I certainly would never want a funeral and your wish to become a tree is understandable. I hope that you manage to achieve what you are looking for.
I'd like to do something similar. I've asked my family to cremate me & scatter my ashes in wooded area of a state park, which amounts to basically the same thing.

I think the urn was something like $150 dollars which isn't too bad. I think I'd like to be a willow. The only detail I haven't figured out is where I would be planted.
Does anyone have any insight as to choosing a place to be planted? I'm not sure if maybe I could be planted at like a local park or along a river or something
That is not a bad idea, environmentally speaking, especially when one wishes to give back to nature in some way. I personally don't have any preference (nor could care) what happens to my body once I'm gone (since I won't be able to experience nor witness it). Though for the sake of discussion, I suppose if I was turned into fertilizer or even scattered as ashes, it could benefit wherever my remains are scattered/planted.

I read somewhere a prison inmate only asked for a single pitted olive for his last meal on death row. This was so when he was buried, eventually, an olive tree would grow symbolising he was at peace with the world after death.
A little different to how you say you would go about it, but reminded me of this beautiful story nonetheless.
