No sure, but it's not the same thing with hands.
I'm currently in a psych ward, do you think it's gonna be easier with a decent string from my pants (I have no access to rope) and some padding?

The things people hang themselves with is astonishing. I cannot guarantee you success, but many could CTB with ligature that makes me wonder why are we talking about what rope to get.

Just tried this using a thick dog leash - used the clip to make the noose because I can't tie knots and it seemed to work until the leash slipped off the hook I was using. It's too thick to actually hang on the hook. Gonna try either making a loop with a thinner ligature and attaching it to the leash and the hook or just putting a hole in the leash to insert the hook into. It's amazing how the human mind can put so much creativity into ending itself.

I managed to make my vision go weird by pressing fingers under my Adam's apple but I can't do it anymore. Why??? My first successful attempt to pass out was the closest. Do arteries change their place?

FFS, I can't find the sweet spots anymore. What a curse. How is that possible?

Using your hands is not the same as hanging with ligature. You don't have to worry as I could never really pass out with my hands but it was fairly easy with a rope.

This is the best "rope" I have (a string from sports pants) but it's stretchy. Will it work?

It's not as reliable as a good rope would be, but it COULD work.
If you are desperate enough you can hang yourself with anything that you can put your head in.

Thanks, I'll probably make attempt. I never leave my room, so it would be suspicious if I left the house. I live with my parents.

If you can get better ligature do it for your own comfort and safety.

Would any of these supports suffice? Also have pull up bars along with monkey bars near my park. I assume if they can handle people doing pull ups and swinging they should be strong enough to not break.

Havent really looked into rope materials, knots or placement either. Anybody have good suggestions? Been thinking of partial while standing or leaning on some platform with these three.

These should be good anchor points.
Look at the wiki, you will find answers for these.
Partial can be tricky.

Been looking at it and had the idea as they listed playground things as anchor points. Do they also have info on strong knots I can tie at the anchor point? With partial are you saying it would be tricky for those 3 or would a full suspension be better?

We aren't supposed to advise you on how to do it.

Full is more reliable while being more painful.
The info of the knots is on the same page.

Since the carotid artery is around the adam's apple, should the rope be positioned on the adam's apple? I thought it should be positioned above the adam's apple, I've even read it should be below it. Which is it?

Yes I have heard that CO poisoning makes your corpse look rosey and pleasant. I would assume that any method other than overdosing/poisoning would leave a pretty disturbing body.
Hello what is this CO you're talking about? I apologize for being a dumbdumb.

Carbon monoxide.

Below is more comfortable but the process will be slower and more pressure is needed.
You don't want to put it on your adam's apple, trust me.

So above then?

And what's meant by the OP saying "kneel down, stick your head in the noose"? How do you kneel down before sticking your head in the noose?

Huh, I totally missed that notification.

Above will be faster for sure. It can be uncomfortable though.
When I practiced it, I put my head in while standing. You don't have to follow everything to the letter, make your own judgement.
Is hyperventilation helpful?
You can pass out faster that way so I'd say yes.

I just gave this a couple of tries, partial with a slip knot. No matter what position i try it just hurts and it feels like my head is about to explode, i can still breath in all positions ....

I have the same problem. I have been trying for 1 and half hours now in different position and all I can feel is is the blood rushing to the face and my nose feels stuffy and now there is pain in the neck where the rope was but nothing beyond that. Thanks for any inputs. I have looked through the wiki as well as around 20 pages of this discussion sofa. I am disabled and in chronic pain and my fingers don't work properly so I cannot navigate the site easily

To stop breathing (to kill yourself)
I mean technically CBT is cognitive behavioral therapy, and CTB is catch the bus/cease to breathe. But i get your point. I'm just being a moron.
