  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I prefer to be alone. But when I've tried to get into a group, I always regret it. Now: most of you will hate this idea.... try a church. I know, I know, and NO this is not a stupid lame attempt to proselytize. You don't have to be religious believe it or not. And yes it's true you might run into a goofy bunch of crazy people. A lot of people at a church are just looking for somewhere to hang out and people to do things with. If this made anyone throw up I apologize.

I don't usually meet people, and I've never been in a relationship. The few friends I had in life were mostly interested in what I could do for them when all their cooler friends were busy. I have given up on connecting with anyone and don't want to be around anymore. I know there are good people somewhere, but I'm too far gone now to care.

The advice I keep getting again and again is to volunteer regularly at someplace. Hopefully you get tagged by an extrovert if you're an introvert like me. And after the same people seeing you again and again it becomes easier for people who aren't as extroverted to feel comfortable interacting with each other, find common ground, etc. So that's the advice I'm following. We'll see if it works.

I know it isn't exactly applicable but I've met people in two primary ways. School/college, and jobs, I met my most recent friend at a previous summer job. I've made acquaintances since then at college but I don't really consider them friends. I'm planning on joining a club next semester so I will hopefully meet likeminded individuals there. I'm hoping to do one for my major and one for a hobby.

Also, as far as meeting partners, every time has been something that started as a friendship so most of what I said applied. I met my current girlfriend in high school so that was quite a bit ago.
